• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

P3D v5 Top-Down View: Red cross missing

Hi!

So, it is just me or does P3Dv5 HF2 lacks the red cross that marks the center of the aircraft in top-down view? Is there any setting to activate it again in v5?

Never worked since P3D V5, even before the HF1 (I still did not install HF2).
It's probably my fault, any idea whether there's a shortcut to activate it?
 
Thank you, Jon. That is interesting to see and strange indeed. But like Rikydoc, I do not see the cross. Meanwhile I also found a similar report over at LM's official forum.
 
Doesn’t the cross disappear in slew mode? Ah ha that’s it! The coordinate information is NOT visible in top down, it is visible in slew, so it appears you want to confirm you are selecting top down view and not slew mode.
 
Weird, it is!
From my side, not appearing, nor in normal top down nor in top down & slew mode.
I had a look in P3D view options but I could not make up my mind.

No, Othedwise one couldn't use ir wirh ADE.

Coordinate information is dependent on the content of the cfg file, eg.

[SlewTextInfo.1]
Latitude=1,1
Longitude=1,2
Altitude=1,3
AltitudeAgl=1,4
Heading=1,5

Unfortunately not, Brian. I raised this problem twice in the official P3D forum over at LM but never got a reply.
