Hi,
I'm trying to create a new airport and the ICAO code is already in use by a default airport in MSFS. I dont want to remove this default airport but just change its ICAO code so users can still use it alongside my new airport.
At first I tried using the "modify an existing airport" option and changing the ICAO. This didn't work
Next I tried adding an exclusion rectangle below in the same asset group with the airport above it with the new ICAO.
I also tried editing the ICAO.XML file to have two "Airport" elements, one with the old ICAO code and the "closed" property set to true and another one with the renamed ICAO. Also didnt work.
With both of these attempts, everytime I try to add my Airport with the ICAO of the default airport (in the same or new asset group) I still get the message that the ICAO code is already in use.
Is there a way to do this and I just can't figure it out or is this something that is not possible?
Any help is appreciated.
