• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

P3D v4 VFR Mallorca

Thank you all!
I don't know if these are private airstripes... Maybe, but I don't think so. Only Porto Cristo seems to be abandonned.
Oh, the reason why I make it possible to turn it off is pretty easy. If some has another version of such an airfield, I want to make it compatible to. And I thought that's the best possibility to do so.
For example Son Bonet: It is included in Aerosoft Mallorca, but not in JustSim LEPA. So if you are using the Aerosoft version, you can switch my version of LESB off. If you are using the JS version, you can leave it on.

Great job Matt - I love that island. Seeing it like this makes the old booking finger tremble

The configurator is great! Glad to see it. Can I ask what route you took to include it in your project?

Hello everybody!
Today there is again a short progress update:
I'm still in the process of placing buildings. Even if you don't see all the work directly, it's going well!

It sure looks great, can't wait to fly vfr around the island and actually be able to recognize places and correct placed cities.

Hello everyone!

Good news:
I decided to create a lite version of Mallorca that uses low resolution satellite images.

The upload will (hopefully) be finished by tonight.

That means you can plan a flight to Mallorca for the weekend!

The full version will follow, as soon as I have uploaded all 21 parts...

Ouch, 21 parts that sounds like it will be several Gigabytes for the Island in high resolution, thank God that SSD's are becoming cheaper and cheaper :-)
BTW. In the screenshot of Palma, I can't see the Cathedral which is a very significant POI of Palma, and also Castle Belvedere is missing, or maybe just too far away to be seen. Are they included or will be added later?

All in all Mallorca is around 22 GB big. But it is worth the size!

And I'm sorry, there won't be any modelled POIs, and they won't be added. I have absolutely no talent in modelling, so I have to use the Default-Autogen Buildings...

Both "La Seu" (the cathedral) and "Castillo de Belver" can be found at Sketchup 3D Warehouse, but I don't know if it's allowed to use it in "commercial" sceneries,
If it is, that could be a way of including some POI's in the scenery

Hello Matthias,

great work! Thanks for that, I'm already looking forward to the full version !

greetings Peter

Well, the ORBX trees also replace the textures of the default trees.
So for my sceneries I only use the default trees to ensure compatibility even if no ORBX trees are installed.

You can get a list in ScenProc by right clicking on the GUID and selecting "Select GUID...". There you can select all tree types, including ORBX trees.
