• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

FS2004 Weather themes help!

Hello All!

I don't know if FS2004 has many users nowadays. I'm still with it because I have a rig with 5 screens on one pc, and I like the smoothness and my airports full ( I mean it!) of '80s traffic. As I get 20 to 30 fps, I don't believe my pc will handle FSX.

I am so gratefull to FSdeveloper for it is the only site I know where high level content can be discussed.

I need help regarding Weather Themes:
I am using Weather Themes Creator for a couple of months, and so far I have made a collection of themes covering most of usual scenarios.

It took me some time to find out why when approaching some airports, rain and visibility suddenly vanish.

I looked for an answer thoroughly, with no success. I even read that it could be the computer running out of resources.

Well, it turned out that it is the ground altitude where the theme was first loaded.
For instance, if I'm parked ( or flying over) Pittsburg, and load a theme, when landing at, say, JFK, visibility and rain will vanish at the exact ground altitude of KPIT. This happens despite the bottom of visibility and rain layers being set to 0 on the theme. Negative values are not allowed, at least in the theme creaator program.

This is awfull, being in an approach with fog and rain and suddenly the weather clears. It makes the whole 'themes' idea useless.

Anybody knows how to overcome this?
Perhaps another weather theme creator program, allowing a negative value, or a way I can edit my themes for a bottom negative value?
