• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

MSFS20 Adelaide (YPAD)

Great Work BTDsims. There is someone working on Perth and was going along very well till he lost a Hard Drive and now has to start over again. Darwin is a very much needed airport too. They have recently upgraded the terminal and tarmacs. Darwin would be awesome. I'm also a Adelaide local and really can't wait for Adelaide too. Keep us posted.
 
Hi BTD. Can we keep the updates coming at all please? Watching this with great interest as now I am in P3DV4 my home town has no scenery. Any updates? Please keep them coming regularly.

Hello,
Apologies for my absence recently, the project has suffered some time loss due to external commitments. Unfortunately, as we all know, developing scenery takes an extraordinary amount of time. Moreover, the advent of V4 means some of the scenery should be redone. Here is a pic in V4. *Windy landing

Great to see someones doing something with this, I purchased this back in V2 but can't fly it, it is the only addon available for my home airport.

Thanks for your interest in the scenery, external commitments have somewhat hampered development. I was at a roadblock with the ground polygons in v4.0, just recently I installed 4.1 and LM seemed to have fixed the problem thankfully. As such, there has been some work on the scenery... again apologies for the pace of development. I also wasn't happy with some of the scenery elements so they were re-done. I have some previews below, and I hope to continue with the scenery over the break.

Also, if anyone has tips for night lighting it would greatly move the process along ;)
 
Looking amazing guys, as someone from Adelaide very excited to see your guys progress on this project. Obviously real world commitments take priority over this I think we all understand. Worst question to ask I know, but as someone from Adelaide I'm just so keen, any idea at all what part of 2018 or further we could expect to see this come out. If nothing to say, no problem at all, best of luck guys!

Hi Aaron,
Thanks for your interest, at this point it is just too difficult to give a date... or even a range, this is due mostly to the fact that I just don't know how long certain tasks may take. That being said, I too wish to see the airport finished in a reasonable timeline ;). Certainly without fsdev it would be taking far longer!

Anyhow, heavy work on the ground polygons are underway...

Some more work done on the surrounding areas of YPAD, new control tower and catering areas. Next will be setting the roads and carparks, some of it is already in place. Carpark and rear terminal just about complete... not particularly high poly as it is just a car park ;)
