• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

    People have not had any problems that I have heard of if they install FSX outside of any program files folder. Mine is in C:/FS/FSX and Windows 11 has not given me any problems yet.

    It appears to me that your windows operating system is either “protecting you” from yourself because these files are inside a program files folder, or is malfunctioning in some way.

    As far as I know, all of Schwartz‘s objects were made for FS 2004. So unless they had been converted, they would be visible in FSX but not in P3 D. Model converter X can convert the libraries to FSX or P3 D format.

    I assume ADE does not let you have parking spots not attached to the taxiway system because that can sometimes lead to a crash of the Sim in certain cases.

    I know it’s not ideal, but you can put your aircraft where the water needs to go in FS, and then see the Red Cross in ADE to be able to place it.

    In FSX, you can assign any animation tag to any part. You can assign that animation tag anywhere in the process that you like.

    Library objects are accessed by their GUID. If any object uses that same GUID in any active scenery folder, the Sim might access it instead of the one you desire.
