ADE doesn't compile separate OBJ file

Hi,

I have followed all the steps in the manual and also consulted the FAQ (=set the tick mark next to compile separate files in Settings) but for some reason there is no separate OBJ file created. I know that I am looking at the right folder because the bgl file that is created had the prefix an suffix that I set in settings, it's in the folder that I indicated in settings, and from the time it's been created I know that it's not an old file.

It's just that I can't seem to find the second file with the "OBJ" in the file name.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Chris

The obvious question is do you actually have any scenery objects in your project? If so then please attach your project file to a post here so that we can check it

Ah, excellent question ;-)

I want to change the AFCAD that came with Drzwiecki Design UUEE Moscow Sheremetyevo. No idea if that has any scenery objects that be honest. All I want to do is change airline assignments and size of some gates, but do so using another software (AFX). In order not to mess up underlying exclusion files and suddenly have buildings disappear or default scenery peek through I wanted to separate the bgl in two separate files and then only work on one of them, leaving the OBJ file alone.

If there are no buildings or other scenery elements in the original bgl file then ADE will not create one. However it may remove any existing matching -OBJ file if there was one. However if the original was created using AFX then chances of there being a separate OBJ file is nil I think

AFCAD files do not contain any scenery objects, so no OBJ file will be created.
