• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

ADE Now Free for Personal and Commercial Use

I don't know if I am missing something, but the link for the Prokey posted at the top of this thread is now dead.

Is there anywhere else that the Prokey can be found?

Jorgen

Hmmmm... after installing the Prokey according to the instructions, ADE will not load, saying there is a problem with the Infralution.Licensing.dll file or one of its dependencies.

I am using ADE v. 1.79 Test - could that be the issue here?

Jorgen

That may be a permanent issue with a third party library. Does ADE work if the ProKey is removed? Perhaps someone else can reproduce this?

Hi Jorgen:

Your recent posting history mentions installing new NVMe SSD's; have you re-installed Windows ?

If so, which numeric version of Windows is now installed? :scratchch

Would you please attach a screenshot of the message box that pops up with the ADE Infralution.Licensing.dll run error ?

FYI: There may be dependencies involving Infralution.Licensing.dll and Windows Forms and .NET versions not installed (yet).

Hi Jon:

I have ADE numeric versions 1.65, 1.78 and 1.79 installed in addition to ADE20.

I never had an issue requiring ADE re-installation except a rare Windows crash requiring an in-place upgrade / refresh install.

I do not recall exactly how- and when- I was granted a ProKey evaluation period for ADE FS2Kx versions years ago.

But, when I start ADEv1.79x on Win10 Pro with ADE installed in a sub-folder under drive D:\, this is the message that pops up:

ade_179x_prokey_evaluation_period_expired-1-jpg.95035

When I click [Exit] button, ADE starts and runs normally.

And of course, my shortcut for all ADE versions installed, grants Admin security privileges for all users.

I have multiple installs on old storage drive letters, but I only have (1) copy of ADE actively configured per ADE numeric version.

I don't get that error involving Infralution.Licensing.dll.

Hope this info helps. :)

PS: Thanks again, Jon, for continuing to watch over ADE and topics of interest here at FSDEV.

Gary, I had reason to re-install Windows 10 2 months ago, but that had nothing to do with my SSDs - I got something mightily screwed up in Adobe Acrobat so I got the infamous blue screen of instant death.

The OS Info is 22H2, build 19045.5247. As far as I know and have been able to figure out, I have all required .NET versions installed.

After that I installed ADE 1.79.7475 Dev only, no versions prior to that, and it was working just fine until today, when I tried to install the Prokey. I never get the screen "Welcome to ADE ProKey", what I get is shown in the attached screenshot.

Thanks for your assistance, and may I also say it is VERY nice to see Jon a little bit active again!

A small PS: I am guessing that I might have to install the production version of 1.79, install ProKey onto that, and the go on to the development version....

I ran ADE betas and RTMs, but that is an error I never saw before; I suspect Jon is likely to know how to resolve this issue. :wizard:

Hope you are able to get up and running completely ASAP. :)

Oh, and glad to see you are not running Win-11 (yet... ? :stirthepo).

UPDATED: OOPS ! ...I spoke too soon; I just had to do one more Google search on this.

See these links:

but HAVE you done this? https://scruffyduck.screenstepslive...ependencies-exception-from-hresult-0x80131515

I sent this in an earlier post and it is the fix to your problem I am sorry but I see no evidence you have done this. You have the files in the plugin folder but your windows security setup won't let you use them until you do the above. I can't help any other way than this - it is a common issue

When Jon checks in, I have to ask him:

Is [Unblock] the equivalent of doing a dreaded Windows Regsvr32 DLL validation that otherwise requires a reboot ? :scratchch

Gary,

I fully intend to stay on Win 10 even after it runs out of free support and I don't care if I have to pay a fee (as least if what I have seen about the fee is true). I don't want to deal with Win 11's (several expletives deleted, as a former RDAF Sgt. Major I was told by co-workers in the U. S. that my language at times could be called "colorful") - you know what I mean.

And the steps in the "screenstepslive" thread solved the isue for me - I had to mark both the Prokey.dll and the Infralutions.Licensing.dll to unblock them, and ADE came up just as usual, except now the title line had (Pro) added to it!

So now on to seeing if I can get RAF Vulcans to show up at the ORBX EGXP RAF Scampton, and sometime I have to taxi around to see if I can find the place where the dog is buried - I have seen that in real life in 1984.

Thanks to you and Jon for the excellent assistance -

Jorgen

I am sorry that my wife and I missed Linlithgow when we were in Edinburgh in 2019, but we did get to see many fun places, for me most notably Loch Ness and the "Castle of French Taunting".

There's now parking all around on RAF Scampton, but apart from a Tornado the aircraft that are parked there are Hawks and Tucanos. So on to rename the atc_parking_type= of those to MIL_CARGO,RAMP, setting a atc_parking_code= of VULC in the Vulcans and set parking code to VULC in the parking spots...

A propos Hawks - in 1984 the Red Arrows were stationed at Scampton, and they were there when I was too with some other RDAF types. We of course engaged in the age-old sport of "zapping", and the Red Arrows CO thought it was "great sport" of us NOT to zap their aircraft, but instead only their innocent Land Rover. There also was a Vulcan on display, but regrettably without engines, or we would have tried to fly it out.

Having fun -

Jorgen

I am looking forward to seeing that castle in person some day. :rotfl:

Yes Jon, it has indeed, and thanks for your assistance.

Now I only want the Vulcans to show up at Scampton, so now I need to learn how to make flight plans for them. At least the airfield is ready now!

Thanks again to you and Gary -

Jorgen
