• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Hey Tom,
I checked the GP Object List. Should I just delete all of them and start from scratch? I'm not sure which one ADE is upset about. Here's the list:
Type,Texture,Texture Type,Width,Outline Texture,Outline Width,GP Layer
Poly,gp_Asphalt-medium|Default,,,gp_Concrete,0.00,24
Poly,gp_Concrete|Default,,,,0.00,24
Poly,,,,,0.00,24
Poly,,,,,0.00,24
Poly,gp_Asphalt-dark|Default,,,,0.00,24
Poly,gp_Asphalt-medium|Default,,,,0.00,24

Thanks,
Kevin Davis

Hey Tom,
Edit as in using the resize system pictured in the screenshot - (the seven small boxes) - and making it the same size as the gray texture? I hope you don't think I'm an Internet Troll - I'm just interested in airport design, and this is the only place I've found with people that know what they're talking about!
Regards, Kevin Davis

Usually when you bring up a GP for editing, it will be as you left it the last time. If so, just click OK.

Hey Tom,
So does doing that "Trick" the compile feature into thinking the issue is resolved? What is annoying is that when you double click on a square to indicate that you're done editing, it creates another one. In the edit screen, everything was greyed out, so I had to click the "Select All" button in order to edit it.

Kevin Davis

Usually no editing is required, just click OK. It SOMETIMES fixes such a problem, not always.

Hey Tom,
I deleted all of the polys and created a new one, and that eliminated the error message. I tried creating a new poly, but it didn't produce the result I wanted (for the helicopter to be on the roof). On another note, the frequency for the airport I'm making, according to Airnav, is 122.1, but that isn't within the frequency range on ADE, which doesn't make sense. Because of this, I made it 122.8, but that wouldn't show up in the ATC menu "`~", even when I compiled the airport. What I mean by "showing up" is that I got a message saying "No messages to transmit to anyone." I have my radio tuned to 122.8, so I don't know why I'm getting that message. Sorry for the late reply, I was away from my computer most of the day yesterday. Have a great day.
Regards,
Kevin Davis

ADE offers the frequencies which are defined as valid by the relevant compiler. I think this can result in some real world frequencies not being accepted. It is possible that setting a frequency which is not listed (via the Raw Data View) might work - on the other hand it might cause the compile to fail

Hey Jon,
Something occurred to me after thinking it over for a few weeks. Several months ago, I purchased the Mega Scenery Earth package for Wisconsin. Because of this, will ADE just not accept changes? I wondered if the software and the scenery from MSE are "Fighting" each other. In order to make the frequency show up in the ATC Menu (~), would I have to change the type to "CTAF" rather than "FSS?" I wondered if the presence of the MSE Scenery would simply not allow me to change anything for any Wisconsin airport. It's the only explanation I can think of.
Take care,
Kevin Davis
