• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

MSFS20 Adelaide (YPAD)

Hi all,
Apologies for not replying sooner to all of your queries.
I still intend to continue work on Adelaide, however study has become a priority this year for me. I hope to get some work done during holiday periods and release something in a reasonable amount of time but I can't promise much.

Thanks for your interest, and your continued patience.

Guessing we wont be seeing this airport this year. There is a work around with the old one that works exceptionally well with P3DV4.

Hey benjoglove, just sent you a message asking for the workaround too :-) as it doesnt look like we are getting a beta any time soon :-(

ORBX's AU Scenery 2.0 has a better looking YPAD than the default... even Parafield, Gawler, Goolwa and Murray Bridge are a big improvement over the default... I haven't gone much further exploring as I am currently very limited in spare time to fly...

Well it's been a while, but I felt like working on this a bit more and attempt to finish it.

Below is the updated terminal with PBR textures for 4.5, albeit a blender render that makes it a bit more visually appealing (Textures are however baked) - perhaps MSFS2020 could boost the visual appeal of flight sims into the next generation.

I hope to get the terminal finished and move onto misc buildings and clean up the ground poly's - I wish I could give a completion estimate but as evidenced by this thread, an eta can quickly move far beyond anything I expect o_O

Thanks for stopping by.
