• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Approaches: Duplicate Navaid Name Problem

Other than the GPS draw I do not think it affects anything else. If this were an AI aircraft, it appears to affect the speed the plane rotates on takeoff.

Very strange, indeed.
Does it influence stall warning or flight dynamics?

It is a reference speed so I do not think it would affect your flight dynamics. It is there for a default stall warning code. (possibly for stall warning in the sound cfg) Of course one could write ones own stall warning code.

It should be easy to test it, but it could take some time. Sorry, we call it "Rentnerstress.." :)
(To much things to do and few time as a retired person...)

Flight dynamics, not as far as I know..but it influences damage simulation and stall/overspeed warning
Plane dynamics (stall) comes from the .air file and several other sections of the aircraft.cfg, not this one.

Thanks for your contributions. "flaps_up_stall_speed = 53.0" works. GPS draws it in a 737-400 stock like as it is a 172 cessna.
If that is "real as is gets"? Ofcourse not, a 734 cannot fly these turns. So the fs9 GPS deems to forget a waypoint and uses the next one.

Stall warning is not influenced by "flaps_up_stall_speed", it worked in my test unchanged (about 140 KTAS).
I suppose it is triggered by angle of attack.

Correct..my mistake. Presumably only overspeed warning for max_mach and max_indicated_speed are relevant in this section
