• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Can anyone help me to diagnose why MSFS refuce to load my textures

Hi There.
I have a problem when building a Barn. The textures I use (from poliigon) cannot be loaded in MSFS.
It seems that he (msfs sdk) totally ignore the images. and I have no clue whats happen.

The textures is three PBR One diff. one Comp and one normal (See below) in png format 1024 * 1024.
The textures works fine in Blender
The stucture is right - I can promise bcs other textures is loaded as it should.

Below the result in MSFS2020 (I can see that some textures is loaded for doors and ground but not for roof)

The textures are OK for me. So it must be something not right in Blender. Are all 3 textures in the right texture folder in the PackageSources? If so, just zip the gltf file, attach it, and I'll take a look.
 
Hi and thank you that you take your time to test this.

Well it is working fine now. What I did was following.
1: in the same SDK session - close my Barn-project.
2: Opened a test-project in the same location.
3: Build in blender a small 10 vertex house with the roof-texture from the Barn that not work.
4: Export the projekt and it works fine.
Now the Barn and the small house is on the same screen. Barn with mässing texture and small house with a roof as experter.
5: Close the test projekt.
6: Reopened the Barn-project.
7: Huereka !!!!!!!! The roof was in place.
8: Now I worked a lot and have done a lot of new exports and it works fine.

Can it be that the compile of the texture to DDS-file have earlier failed but is store in some cache somewhere. In my test-project then (in the same session) this DDS was replaced and after this it works fine.
Maybe the same could be achived with a deletion of _PackageInt.? In the Barn-project.

I am now happy that it works fine.
