• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Centre Lines

It is not usual to place a normal link and node on the parking unless you are involved in 'plumbing' techniques and I would say you are not :)
Hmm, for GA aircraft I always place a node within inches of a parking spot to prevent (minimise) push-back. And, if the parking space is on grass, I never use an apron.

Well you know how the saying goes
"No sooner does one door shut than another one closes"

After Georges brilliant efforts in getting me to do my poly's correctly I ran straight into another problem.

The one picture shows my runway and taxiway linking to it.
The other shows how it appears in FSX.
Now where are the fillets?
You can just see the fillets on the background.
I have tried all sorts of amendments like changing the taxi width, adding extra nodes and checking to make sure I have the correct elevation but all to no avail.
I also added centre lines but that was a bit of a shables as they were all over the place.

One of the others may be able to offer a better explanation but it can be difficult to get FSX to draw exactly what you want it to. A simple way out (certainly if you have no markings) that is commonly used in stock and user airports is to place an apron under the junction using the surface of the taxiway and shaped to the area you want filled

Richard

If you look at many FSX stock airport you have to draw the filets with a apron just like the airport artist do at MS.

Like Jon says, FSX in some cases does not always draw what we want.
