• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Compiler Errors and Connection Issue

This is not a reply to the above stated problem but to say that I am having the same problems, as well as, ADE and Steam-SE won't connect, but I thought I was using FSUIPC4. I have attached a few files to aide in figuring out the problem. Also the attached airport won't compile nor any others I have modified.

I have moved this to its own topic.

It compiles fine for me. Can you confirm which SDK you are using - the one shipped with Steam does not work. Also please go into the ADE installation and find the \FSX folder inside it. Find these files in that folder

1630648885262.png

And take a screenshot of them from your installation.

I have attached the screenshots to this reply. It appears a file is missing. BTW, you may have noticed that I have had ADE for a number of years, but have in just the past few days picked it up again and tried using it. I don't know which FSUIPC version I am using, but it is not allowing the sim and ADE connect. How do I find that out? I am using P3D SDK 1.4.4747.0

You are showing the main ADE folder - the files I am interested in are in the FSX sub folder inside the mail ADE folder

Let's sort this out and then look at FSUIPC

Jon
OK, let's see if I got it right this time. I really appreciate your time and patience in working with this matter.

Parse complete!

The warnings can be ignored, you simply have objects beyond the ADE default of 5000 m from the ARP.

The errors refer to a runway 36 at the airport. If you have renumbered a runway from 36, try renumbering it back to 36, compile, save, then quit ADE. Then restart ADE and reload the airport. Then renumber the runway again. Back up the AD4 file before doing this.

To add to what Tom is referring to, way back when i did my first version of EHAM i seem to remember i set the ARP to 6500 Meters because of the issues with 18R/36L and its taxiways, taxisigns,
including the boundary fence, which i think Jon then made changes to ADE back then.........

I suggest you should reinstall FSX outside the "system"-controlled folder chain off the root of C:\

For example, create a "C:\Flight Simulator X" sub-folder, and change the FSX install path to that when re-installing FSX.

Other tasks to be completed since Windows 10 and 11 do not supply these files required for FSX and ADE:

Install MSXML SP3

https://www.fsdeveloper.com/forum/threads/ade9-does-not-work-with-msxml-4-0-sp3.460475/#post-937346

Install DirectX 9.0c runtimes

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8109

Install Visual C runtimes (I forgot which ones cited by year-version that are needed for FSX in Windows 11)

https://www.google.com/search?q=FSX...JwgcIMC4yLjEzLjHIB0iACAA&sclient=gws-wiz-serp

Install FSUIPC version 4.x

https://fsuipc.com/download/FSUIPC4.zip

Install the P3D version 1.4x SDK (which is fully compatible with all FSX versions).

https://www.fsdeveloper.com/forum/resources/prepar3d-v1-sdk.227/

Then I suggest you install ADE version 1.79; if the ADE configuration wizard does not run automatically, run it manually.

https://www.fsdeveloper.com/forum/t...-7410-dev-is-released-supports-p3d-v5.447279/

The ADE ProKey for unrestricted use of ADE FS2Kx versions and related info is here:

https://www.fsdeveloper.com/forum/threads/ade-downloads-page.459372/

While you are on the above web page, download and read a copy of the "full" ADE version 1.65 PDF Manual for reference.

Never attempt to access- or write into- APX*.BGL files de-compiled outside of ADE; Open 'stock' airports in ADE instead. :redflag:

Can you send me download link for FSX
I did download it
Still same issue
I canot find fsx download link as in the manual it is saying invalid

You need to explain your self better if you wish to benefit from anyone here allocating time to try and help you.

I suggest that you make use of this translation service to be certain you are using proper English, and to avoid misinterpretation:

https://www.google.com/search?q=Goo...HognCBwYwLjIuMTXIBziACAA&sclient=gws-wiz-serp

https://www.google.com/search?q=Goo...HognCBwYwLjIuMTXIBziACAA&sclient=gws-wiz-serp

AFAIK, there is no manual that refers to an FSX 'download' link.

If by any chance you were not clear on the fact that FSX is a payware product of Microsoft, you must buy it to use it for more than 20 minutes at at time, which is all that the FSX RTM demo version allows.

https://flyawaysimulation.com/downloads/files/1304/microsoft-flight-simulator-x-demo/

Note that improper installations of even a "full"- but not properly activated- FSX install may 'time out' after 20 minutes.

I have had improperly written add-ons that I bought "break" FSX' activation system causing a huge FSX install of payware to fail.

No matter what I did, my "full" FSX install would time out after 20 minutes (and then thank me for running the FSX "demo"). :banghead:

So, if you want to do anything in the way of FSX development, you will want to have a "full", activated, payware version of FSX.

Shop online / in used Game shops to buy FSX Gold Edition, or FSX Deluxe & FSX Acceleration (includes Acceleration and SP2).

You can also purchase FSX Steam Edition (aka "FSX_SE") either through the Steam online store, or a discount 'overstock' seller.

For example, I bought a 'clearance' DVD of FSX Steam Edition for $20 USD at a WalMart store years ago (but I never installed it).

If you do not wish to use anything other than cash to purchase, you can buy a Amazon online store prepaid card in local stores.

This is what I do; MS has been hacked repeatedly over the years, and AMAZON has billion-dollar security worthy of trust, IMHO.

AMAZON cards may be validated to issue a voucher number than can also be redeemed @ Microsoft online store for purchases.

https://www.amazon.com/Microsoft-Flight-Simulator-X-Gold-PC/dp/B001DPZE84

If your computer runs FSX well, then consider MSFS instead, as its game rendering engine has higher performance than FSX.

You may buy it via the Microsoft online store via the XBOX-branded "Games" division, which also sells packages for the PC.

A Microsoft online store XBOX-branded prepaid monthly plan can also be used to access software titles you wish to "try out".
