• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Düsseldorf Airport

Please don't forget static planes with airberlin Colours ;)

I won't forget it! I've actually already produced some liveries for AB aircraft, I just haven't shown them yet...
Actually I've concidered the AB layout when unwrapping, as AB has their name underneath their aircraft stretching quite a long way along the aircraft.

Nice little joke here I think:

"AirWeneedmoney" is more universally fitting. ;)

Well Etihad helped them out pritty well I guess. But the whole financial situation is the reason I'm only making these colours on Airbusses and Bombardiers, as the Boeings are the first to go out

Wow, thats so nice, i love the D-ABCO ''airdüsseldorf''

Thanks! I found it might be an eye cathching sight. And some people might get a little laugh out of it

The jetways are very curious things, I've got a couple of image of them but usually I 've got an aircaft in the way... So I think it's gonna take some time to make the jetways and, most certainly, make the distinctive banners on them (I believe they still exist on jetways at Terminal A and B) of a car rental company called SIXT, who use a giraffe on their jetway ad (which then obviously extends)

I know what you mean when it comes to finding images of jetways. Like the the terrific modeling job you've done on the jetway, you really are doing a great job, can't wait to see it after it's been textured.

Thanks guys!
Well the texture is gonna be pritty fun. There are a few different gate "paints", some have normal gray with Düsseldorf Airport written on them and some have advertisements on them like this:

That's gonna be funny to make :P

Six or eight 737s are staying in AB colors because they're leased from TUIFly with about the worst contract in airline history (for AB).

Yess well we get just a few 737s over here in Düsseldorf anyway, so the traffic for düsseldorf will most significantly change with the retirement of the dash 8s :(

Well untill I do texture them we'll have to use these I guess...

The shape's there, now I've got to make the textures better ;)

Well I know you shouldn't believe everything claimed on the internet but this was put on the Air Berlin wikipedia page: "It will retire all Q400 and it is assumed that an all Airbus fleet is planned."

Air Berlin will retire all 737, but not the Q400. Air Berlin will get some additional Q400 during the next few month.

Okay, well like I said I only found that on wikipedia and didn't believe it entirely. I'm glad they'll keep the Q400s, nice aircraft. Thanks for the information Mathias!

Nice one. Will you add moving jetways?

Principally yes. However I personally don't really like AES and SODE is not yet available for Blender, so I'm guessing the onliest option is the default crtl+J I'm affraid

AFAIK Ctrl+J jetways need certain export features which aren't yet implemented in Blender2fsx ATM. And SODE Jetways can still be rigged manually in Blender, the respective max script is only an aid as far as I understood.
So ATM SODE seems the only option to.

Really? Well that'd be quite interesting :)
