• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

FSX error overlay airport

Hi,

Continuing story and yet another thing that is rather peculiar:
I changed the overlay airport type of traffic control from Tower to Multicom.
Result: AI gets stuck on the runway entry HS.
Now, all this happens only if and only if I wait from before landing to the next takeoff.
Think I will try another airplane to see if it is perhaps due to the heli mdl and change FP's to IFR.

Hello Tom,

I had already tried Unicom, but thanks for the suggestion.
I exchanged the MAIW Apache AH64D heli for BN2 Islanders and all of them landed and took off again normally.
So I think it has something to do with the AH64 model (it takes about a half an hour to forty minutes after landing, whilst the heli is parked and supposed to be asleep, for the lights to go out, the pilots to disappear and the cockpit doors to close again and in my fp's I only had some 20 minutes interval between landing and next takeoff. I therefore changed the flightplans to leave about 2 hours between landing and takeoff, waited for them to land and takeoff again, but they still get stuck in their takeoff 2 state).
Maybe I should ask more info on the MAIW forum, in which case Jim Vile is right once more that you should first try with default craft.
But since these are heli and there is no real default AI heli in FSX...

Airport position

The poroblem I am having is that iset new airport coordinated but when I select 2 move aircraft here " it goes to an airpoart 65 miles away that airport has totaly different coordinats.Any hep will be appreciated

Perhaps a bit more detail please.

Is this a new airport that you created?

What do you mean by move aircraft here - is that in ADe or in FSX?

Please give us details of what you are doing....

Indeed it may be a good idea to refrase your question and give some more details.
(The problem I had to start with in this thread, is solved but I am afraid you will ask me how I did it and I am sorry to say I do not have the faintest:o).

I think it possible that the poster here has contacted me directly. If so then the problem was setting the coordinates and having East and West mixed up in decimal format - which we have all done at one time or the other. I am waiting on his confirmation of that finding.
