• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

MSFS Errors opening sample projects in the SDK

Hi, I've been having problems all around with the sdk. I have the game through steam. I have installed the sdk properly, read through all the documentation, and the sim itself is fine. I have a problem when I load the Example Airplane, I get the following error:

The other problem (that probably follows from this one, but I didn't know about this at the time) is that I able to build the sample aircraft, but no "reload aircraft" button appears or was already there.

Is anyone else having this problem? Should I try to re-install the sdk? I have both the sdk and the game installed in custom locations on (the same) second hard drive.

Alright, so I was able to fix the above by making sure that there is NO SPACES in the filename at all. I still have a problem with no "edit package" window appearing when I click on the project. There is a build package option in the Inspector, but when I hit it, it seems to compile fine according to the console, but it does also have error messages. Log below

I am very sorry for the massive amount of posts here, but another update. There IS NOT A UPDATE AIRCRAFT BUTTON! It automatically updated, and by chance I saw it in the aircraft selection screen. I went into a simulation and it all works as it should now.
