Hi all,

I am working on some new functionality so that ModelConverterX can read placement information from BGL files. This will also allow me to add functions like placing multiple instances of an object for example.

I think this function will mean that there will be two types of exporting in the future:

  1. Export object, this will just export the select object to the format you select
  2. Export scenery, this will export all loaded objects and all placement information to a BGL file

Do these two types of exports make sense for you as a user? Or does it sound confusing? Or are there other combinations of objects and placement that you would like to export?

Hi ARNO!
Of course it is necessary to have the ability to export many objects in scene.
Really looking forward to this opportunity!

Does this mean we can then place objects contained in BGL files that also contain location information (i.e. "geo locked")?

Hi Arno,
Can you add a search and rename function in mcx? For example if you want to rename quickly all your attached objects...
Thanks

Hi,

Does this mean we can then place objects contained in BGL files that also contain location information (i.e. "geo locked")?

Not sure what you mean here. Do you want ModelConverterX to be able to export both geo locked and non geo locked placement information? I guess that should be possible.
