• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

FSXA FS2004 aircraft propeller states

OK Tom, I think this would be the best solution. I also had to *freeze* the animation. The waterbird is now a little bit slanting but it (thumb up). If it fly it is sometimes shaking and I wouldn't fly with this quaking bird. A new problem could be that the aircraft can't land - nearly touch and go. The runway is long enough. But this is not so bad -it's only a AI-aircraft and if I could play with the ContactPoints perhaps it helps.
Thank you so much for helping.

I made some tests and the only problem for the converted aircraft could be the animation. Freezing the old animation (rotation of the propellers) eliminates the ai-problem.

It is very much possible, here is a FS9 plane converted to the P3Dv4 standard, notice the three propeller states; still, slow and blurred: ...
Thx for great tutorial.
I converted now FS9 model for P3Dv5 as AI. I had the problem with blurre of propeller and after this tutorial now its OK again :) TY!

Just one question, I noticed that blurre effect is not on the right place on the one proppeler (not where the propeller blade is and after this animation looks strange):

Can I fix this? On the second engine its ok.

Hi,

Is that really a problem? In sim you will either see the prop or the blurred version, so you won't notice that they are in different positions. Or do I see that wrong?

I agree, I don't see that as a problem in the sim.

But if you want to change it:

1. In the Hierarchy Editor find the ModelPart for that blurred prop
a. Click the Highlight Selected box
b. Do a search for prop, then click the ModelParts on the left until it lights up red
2. Right click on # Transformation, Add Transformation.
3. Right click on the word Transformation that appears under the # Transformation, Edit Transformation.
4. Change the Rotation: value for the Y axis from 0 to 30 (or whatever works for you).
5. Click OK.
6. Export as usual.

Buongiorno,
Sto cercando di fare la conversione anche da FSX a MSFS.
come faccio ad unire le varie textures delle eliche con MSX?

Hi,

Can you be a bit more specific what you mean with merging the textures? MSFS basically uses the same visibility conditions and animation types as FSX. So what is the problem you encounter in the conversion?

CIAO,

.

We are a forum in English, so that everybody can follow the discussions, so please post in English.

Could it be you have a missing texture that causes the props to display as white?
