You can call the runway anything you like in ADE, and as long as you save it and present it to the sim via Addon Scenery, it will display as whatever you've called it. This is runway 22 (or 23!) of the stock LSGG renamed to 32 as shown in ADE and in the sim (FSX).The default LSGG airport in FSX shows rwy 05/23 whereas when opened in ADE it shows as rwy04/22. I compiled ans saved the airport but in fsx it still shows as 05/23
Any idea what is wrong with it.

Thats exactly the issue....I opened the stock airport renamed rwy to 04/22 saved it and compiled it. I can see it in the add on scenery folder as LSGG_adx.ad4 and .bgl file. Rebuilding the scenery data in FSX and still it shows as 05/23 thereYou can call the runway anything you like in ADE, and as long as you save it and present it to the sim via Addon Scenery, it will display as whatever you've called it. But taking it out of there would not make a difference to the problem itself.....would it?Hmm. Why is the ad4 file in Addon Scenery? It should be in the Projects folder in ADE. Once you’ve compiled the airfield, you need to put the .bgl file inside a Scenery folder - it can simply be the Scenery folder inside Addon Scenery, or it can be a specific folder for that airfield. But it will never show unless it is in one of those folders AND it has been activated in Settings\add files.

It has not happened to any other airport till now. I ran the tool as you said and as the attached file shows there is another bgl file on a higher layer which probably explains why it still shows the same. Am I correct in assuming that this file needs to be edited and compiled to show the changes as needed?.ADE files are a specific format used by ADE for its project files. the Sim does not read or understand them. They are irrelevant to the sim and just clutter up.
As per comments above make sure that there is no other bgl file containing this airport that loads after your edited one.
Tools > File Priority Analyzer should show all the bgl files containing that airport
Is this happening for any other airport?

Ok ...so i changed the extension...opened LSGG in ADE and recompiled....checked with analyser and the only entry remaining there is mine. Started fsx and rebuilt scenery database and the result is the same.....04/22 in ADE and 05/23 in fsxI would find that file and rename it temporarily so that it does not get loaded - change the extension to something like .dnu.
Now try again and see if your edited version works.
Generally you should not alter third party addon bgl files.
