MCX MCX 1.4 crashes on my Model when opening Material Editor

Hi,

I have a weird problem and hope you can help me sorting it out.
I would like to import a Model from 3dwarehouse into a FS2020 scenery.
As a first step I have opened it in sketchup, selected everything, unlocked it and exploded it following the directions of ths video.
To get it into MCX I exported it in the DAE format (checking all options when exporting to dae). You can see the resulting DAE and textures in the attached file "tower.zip".

It looks like I can import this DAE in MCX 1.4 without a problem. It shows some warnings on texture sizes not being a power of 2 which is expected.
But as soon as I open open the material editor, I am not able to close it again without crashing the program.
I can perform some modifications in the material editor (like power of 2 recalculation or reducing the drawcalls), but if I try to close the material editor and export the modified dae for further editing in blender it hangs and brings up an error message after a while saying that Model Converter X is not responding and If I would like to wait or cancel the process. Waiting several minutes does not help.

Any support on investigating the cause of this issues would be greatly appreciated.

Best Regards
Hartmut

If you are converting this to MSFS, use the development version of MCX, not the 1.4

I can convert to MSFS glTF just fine.

Hi,

Your model does not use huge textures or so. So I don't understand why the material editor would crash, but I'll try to reproduce it later.

Hi,

I can't reproduce the crash here, the material editor just opens fine with your model.
