• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.

MSFS20 Newbie question regarding Objects Library in Devmode

Hello everyone. When I learned to use Devmode (MSFS 2020) in 2022 to make scenery - and I wanted to put an Object Library in the scenery, I just had to do the following manipulation: Scenery Editor/Objects/SimObject to get a Library.

I then did Add or One-click placing to drop the library where I wanted.

I then did Save Scenery and Build All to save the work and compile.

And if I put the newly compiled Bgl in the scenery in Community, I found the Object Library in the scene when I opened MSFS again

Currently, if the manipulation is exactly the same, I save the work on the xml file, but the compilation no longer takes into account the addition of Object Library !

What has changed in Devmode ?

Regards,
Marc

Where did you place the xml and other 2 files of the SimObject? Did did you place them in the PackageSource folder of the project folder?

I realize that in 2022/2023 I was doing a simple manipulation in Devmode without going through the "build" box of a ModelLib!

When I talk about xml file, it's the one in PackageSources\data\xxxx-airport.xml !
