• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Hello everyone! I've got a trouble with the lights...There're none and I'm out of ideas how to bring them into the sim

What I've done by this time:
– Checked the parent object in sym;
– Checked gltf file as note pad, everything's good there (or at least for me);
As you can see on screenshot emissive light working as intended, but there's no spotlight.
I'm sure that's me dumb, and solving of the issuie just around the corner but I don't get it.
Please, give me your ideas 🙏

I played with this a bit.
First, it's much better to zip a .blend file than to give the gltf (it is Blender?).
Second, don't tick Has symmetry (that gives a double of the cone in the reverse direction).
Third, you did not Apply transforms to the objects. Select the building object and CTRL-A and select All Transforms in the menu. In the case of the light objects, you might need to select All Transforms to Deltas. This is a scaling issue. You want the scale of each object set to 1:

Thank you for your answer!
About the first, Yes, this is blender. Sorry for not attaching the .blend file in zip I've forgot about this exist on that moment. In the future I'll definitely send full package :)
About the second, thanks for the tip, I knew about it, I've made it intentionally because I was trying everything to see the light! 😅
About the third, Thank you for the detail instruction. I'll try to make it today evening.
By the way I fixed this problem (sort of) by deleting parent to light spot.:( Or I thought I fixed it, because I see the light, but it's still a bit weird. Anyway, going to upload the results of your method today, really hope that solving the issue🙏

UPD. Tried to make it your way and it's finally working as it supposed to. Thank you so much! 🤝 :)

You can also add spot lights and point lights using MCX. I like modifying lights to my liking (may take several iterations), then export them and load into package source so I can load the changes immediately in the sim. Just another method for quick testing colors, range, strength.
