• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

Hi, I tried to install Sbuilder X but keep getting the missing SDK files error, and then the program installs bitmaps but won't progress past 0%, I am using the Steam version of FSX, I managed to get ADE to work using P3d version 1.4, but Sbuilder X I'm having trouble with despite having 1.4 SDK of Prepar 3D installed. also the version of Sbuilder X is 3.15

Hello:

If you have properly installed the Prepar3D SDK version 1.4x, it will have written the required folder structure and Windows Registry strings so that SBuilderX can find them.

Also, I would recommend installing and using the latest SBuilderX version 3.15 :

https://www.fsdeveloper.com/forum/threads/sbuilderx-v315.441705/#post-787619

"I have made a full zipped version of the program, with all folders filled for immediate use without a previous installation of version 314:"

Full SbuilderX v315

Dick

PS: Be certain that SBuilderX.exe is "Run As Administrator"

If you continue to see the same error message regarding SDK files being needed, let us know, and we can help you further.

Hope this helps ! :)

I finally fixed it, I am using SbuilderX 313 and configured it all works well except for the map servers, I have it on Google and the background is showing an entire globe.jpg file.

Glad you at least got some features of the much older SBuilderX 32-Bit version 3.13 working. :)

FYI: You will not have to find and download updated tileserver DLLs, and will not have as much of a limit on the SBuilderX work-space if you use the 64-Bit version 3.15 cited and linked above. ;-)

Even if you have a 32-Bit version of Windows, IIRC the above linked version of SBuilderX 3.15 can also be installed and used in 32-Bit Windows.

IIUC, "ANY-CPU" means it can run in either 32-Bit or 64-Bit Windows Vista, 7, 8.x, 10.x ...and includes DLL support files for proper function on either "X86" or "X64" CPUs.

Note that SBuilderX version 3.15 has significantly improved features beyond those available in prior versions 3.13 and 3.14.
