• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

SODE Visual Docking Guidance Systems

I immediately bought it and tried out the Demo Airport. Where can I find a guide for developers? I mean How To for the xml ini or cfg without Sode Placer

Thank you!

As for a guide: Here's a tutorial for SODEPlacer -> https://sode.12bpilot.ch/?document=tutorials/vdgs-workflow
I highly recommend using a visual tool for placing the VDGS, setting them up manually (especially the stopline positions) is cumbersome.

So, basically both developers and users need to buy the VDGS package. Then developers set them up to their airports and the users with VDGS package in their library can use. If they don't have the package, they don't see it.
Do I understand it right?

If the user doesn’t have the pack, has SODE and there are placements, will they see the red x?

Yes, that's exactly how it works.

Goodday, I was wondering when Sub cats for different types of aircrafts will be supported by the VDGS. If you take the 777 for comparison now its just 1 does not matter if it is de 300 or the 200. I would like to make the 300 stop a little further than the 200 now I only can make 1 general stop point for both 777.
This is also for the 737 6/7/8/9 series, 747 4 and 8.
