• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Bummer, I like the SJ100... Where did the infostream cut off? I got some time anyway, I could do some research

Well I noticed I couldn't find any information about the system. I can atleast finish the exterior model though.

Really systems are a worry for later... I stopped mostly under the thought of no one really wanting an SJ100 for fsx. I could continue though...
(and thanks for the offer but I don't want to be waisting your freetime ;))

Well, I have nothing else to do anyways... Systems is for later, so would it be possible to do the exterior?

Yeah exterior is the least I can do. I'll look into systems once that's done

I think you'd better continue on the SSJ100 since it's a unique plane and as far as I know it hasn't been done for FSX yet. The 767 would be a bummer since there are already a whole lot of them. It's obviously a mistake to think that nobody is waiting for a SSJ100.

I totally agree! And the first SJ100's are coming to Western Europe in a few years. VLM are going to lease at least 2 and have options for 10 more. So hopefully we'll see them on some airports in Western Europe! (I think Aeroflot used them on their Sheremetyevo - Oslo route a while back)

I think my post can be in a wrong place but because people are talking about SSJ100 here it could be right.
There is a problem with SSJ100, some of developers lack the information about this bird, some lacks hands to model it but some may have no brain to program C++ . And unfortunately those people cannot come together with everything they have to make this puzzle complete. Simply because some needs to start 201st project of Airbus 320.
As some of you may remember that I have model of SSJ100, Interior and Exterior. Also we hold almost everything about SSJ100 CDUs, FMC and other info.. I would say 90%, anything else we could just improvise and get this bird updated as soon as we have new info.. The only lack we have is C++.. I do not really want to make this bird with XML or existing A320 gauge set from some 5th party developer.. So Project is frozen until we have C++ master. Simple...

@fsfox Wow, that looks terrific! Are you saying everything is done on this bird except the systems? Damn... wouldn't it be possible to implement 5th party flightdynamics and systems for now, so it is at least flyable? And in the meantime search for a C++ wizard who can model the real systems?

Nothing is impossible. Unfortunately I had an experience of "at least for now". I don't want to have the same sugar again.. :D I wouldn't mind if community come together and find missing peace of puzzle and make it for good rather than "for now". How do you think ?

I would help you if I where more experienced with C++. I could try to make something but I wouldn't be able to promise it works...

Well, depends on what kind of release we are looking at. If it is a freeware addon I'd say implement the A320 stuff for now(and maybe Embrear E190 flighdynamics) but if you go for a payware aircraft I'd say find someone who can code in C++ before any releases.

Maybe the guys at Ramzess can help you out with the systems. Since they made a SJ100 for X-plane

I do not ask for any promises, F747fly. Sometimes I cannot promise to myself you know.. Try has to be always nice even if you do not reach the target. :)
No point to ask any help off ramzess as x-plane guys dont like to do much for FSX. Also I think that SSJ-100 is far too simple and kinda default, dont know, it looks like.. :)
Dynamics wouldn't be a problem but C++ systems, Vectors and FMC stuff. My programmer would do simple stuff like speeds and altitudes may be...
Talking about freeware or payware, so I would go for payware (at least kinda minimum) as I want to get some cakes and sweets as a "prize" for the effort, time and money that I spent on learning all that CADs, 3Ds and 2D stuff for over the years... Again it is only my opinion..

Nice! But, look at roads and images of airport taxiways: The paths that the aircraft travels across/car tyres pass on the road is actually much cleaner/lighter than the surrounding area, which are darker.

Okay, beginning a solo project for an a330... This is the -200 after about an hour of work. I know it isn't much yet (some of you might be able to do this is ten minutes or less) But I'm relatively proud of it:

So tell me what you guys think! :)

How can you hold this new 3ds max's feature of 2 default light sources from bottom and top so it forms that shade strip on the middle of the cone ? It is not bad for an hour of work, just slow down - accuracy first.. :)

I don't know about the lighting (I'm just learning 3ds max, so every thing I make is pritty new to me. And I've yet to come across doing something lighting).
I know the tail (most of all) needs some accurate reworking, it's a bit out of shape... The windows are work in progress so they're not accurate at all ATM...
