FSX What software can output an Mdl file ?

Hello ! I am pretty bad at scenery. I need to use an mdl file with ModelConverterX to be able to confirm the geographic point in FSX.
I need to build an object (control tower type) that I must output in MDL in order to read it by MCX and so that I can compile it in Bgl.
But I don't know with what software to make this object which will be released in mdl !

Your suggestions are welcome.

Regards,
Marc

Thank you for your reply.
I manage to compile an mdl file into a Bgl file using ModelConverterX, but Flight Simulator X does not read the Bgl !

What am I doing wrong ?

Regards,
Marc

1) Not used the FSX compiler or P3D v1.4 (compliant)
2) Bad installation of the FSX SDK in MCX Options

Have you put the textures for the bgl in the correct folder?

Did you set the location for the bgl using the Object placement tool of MCX before compiling it?

Hello to both of you. Both of you were right in your response.

It's a PEBCAC !

I focused on the scenery folder, forgetting the texture folder

Ha ha ha 🤣

I had to look up what PEBCAC is. Been there, done that.

I'm glad you solved it.

I had to investigate after understanding that putting the texture folder didn't solve the problem !

Very accidentally I came across the topic of Updated Magnetic variation data for FS9 FSX-P3D-MSFS, which inspired me!

Search https://www.aero.sors.fr/ to find the MAGDEC.BGL file from 2023. The FSX file dates from 2006 !
