• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

MSFS20 Shutting Down ADE Sites and Services

The time has come for me to begin the process of shutting down web sites and other services associated with my software. I hope to have them all dealt with by the end of the year. Some which are not at renewal time will be active for as long as the current subscription lasts. I will place my...

FS2004 OMDW - Dubai World Central build - world's biggest

I recall that there is a limit on vertex points for aprons. If you make a copy of the airport and try reducing the number of vertices until you get a compile. But first try the complex split as Guenther suggests

FS2004 OMDW - Dubai World Central build - world's biggest

If this is FS9 and the compile fails try the option to split the compile. There is a limitation in the compiler. File > Extended Compile Choose an option and see if you get one that compiles. Note that a split compile will generate several bgl files which need to be kept together

Trying to change stock airport altitude

Do not edit or delete a stock airport bgl file or any part of it. Start a new project in ADE and load the stock FOGE Save the project then elect and delete everything that appears in the project display Compile the project then load the airport from the new project bgl file Move the bgl file...

Trying to change stock airport altitude

Did you copy everything into the new bgl with the new altitude. I think you need to delete everything from the airport just leaving the basic information. If you look at a stub created by ADE you will see what is left. Don't use things like excludes just select an delete everything.

Taxi Line to RWY not connected

Win 11 should not matter. I am not clear what you are doing to connect a taxilink to a runway or parking spot. Can you provide some steps and screenshots please. There is an internal drawing order in ADE which should draw taxi links over runways and parking spots.

P3D v4 error message loading ADE

You should not need to re-install ADE but if all else fails then that should fix it. Inside the ADE main Folder there are version specific folders (e.g. FS9, FSX, P34) Open the folder that corresponds to the version of the sim you are working with. In there are a series of files with a .dat...

    ADE find file AP923150.bgl

Have you completed the settings in the new user wizard? You need all the entries and especially the path to Flight Sim. You can try and use the Find button and ADE will search for the entries in the registry. Generally if you have not set up the sim using the installer then you may need to...
