• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

As promised in my last post ADE is now free for personal and commercial use subject to my terms and conditions which are available on request

A public key for the Prokey is shown below. You will need to enter this once the 15 day evaluation period is over. The ProKey can be downloaded from this page: https://www.scruffyducksoftware.com/downloads

There is no key required for commercial use

Hi, Jon.
I've used this great programme a few times now for modifying a couple of airports and I have a particular one that I would like to move to match the photoscenery.
I downloaded the prokey which you have so kindly made available and which would make this adjustment possible.
Unfortunately, it won't work for me for some unknown reason. I added the 2 additional dll. files into the plugins folder and then clicked on the exe file to open ADE. The programme tried to open but only a message appeared on the desktop. (see attachment). I have the latest ADE version. Maybe I have missed something?

Goto the location of the prokey and other dll file and right click on the file. Under the Properties tab make sure it is "Unblock". If not, make it so and click on "Apply" and OK.

It's Windows security stopping the files from being used since it thinks they are bad - not true of course :) My favorite is that Windows blocks the MSFS SDK executables (created by Asobo for MS) as bad.
 
thank you Jon for making this great ADE for Commercial use beside free for personal use; I am already a Pro key holder for few years; and would like to know the terms and conditions in case I want to release a commercial project, shall i send you an email for terms and conditions applicable?

You may use ADE freely for any commercial project,

Thank you Jon, for making it available free. I've used ADE for many years for both FSX and P3D.
Will you go on with it's development?

At the moment most focus is on ADE for MSFS (which does not need the ProKey). ADE for FSX/P3D is still supported but unlikely to get any major upgrades now. Patches for critical bugs will still be offered

I don't think it will take much to fudge my P3Dv5 airports to work with v6.
