• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Creating a Global AI Shipping Package for FSX

No hay porqué, realmente no me parece que estés dando menos apoyo al idioma por traducir el sitio, ya que va a seguir estando en Castellano :p, pero bueno, si después cambias de parecer, mi oferta sigue en pie :)

For the historical collection and the Great Lakes package : the legend.

Looks good :D And she will not be alone... I already have three of the large self unloaders ready: Indiana Harbor, Burns Harbor, and Walter J. McCarthy.

I did reinstall all the packages on my new FSX(A) installation. All the ships are in the SimObjects/Boats folder and all the *.bgl's are in the Scenery/World/Scenery folder. Problem is, I did check various locations with up to 100% density and not a single ship appeared. What went wrong here?

Most likely you have FS9 format files like MAIW or WOAI which needs to be converted into FSX format with e.g. AIFP. If you did not do anything actively to remove FSX default AI airplanes and they do not show up either that would most definitely be the answer. All the ships in the packages appear with 5 % in traffic density - no need to go to 100 % that would only give you some not that realistic default ships and ferries...

Hi Jean-Pierre,
I look forward to receiving it and start creating the routes. From the Danish shipyard a "saltie" which has been a frequent visitor on the Great Lakes - Polsteam Orla

What a beautiful video with a wonderful model and fantastic scenery around - congratulations :)

Meanwhile I have deviated a bit from the plan and done the Danish patrol ships Knud Rasmussen and Ejnar Mikkelsen - but they also visit Canada from time to time when they take break from the duties around Greenland.

First two images of Ejnar Mikkelsen from P3D

I look forward to the new P3Dv2.5 - apparently the square start of the extrusion wakes have resolved :)

And below Knud Rasmussen in FSX with nicer wakes but no waves

Your Mikkelsen looks awesome! Just a little remark, when the flightdeck is "ready", the railing is laid flag and the flag should be removed for flight safety. ;)

That requires a bit of coding which is not my strength... but the class also has the flag at the bow, so that might be the quick fix - I would not like to be blamed for creating hazards to the pilots.

It is possible to raise/lower the flag with CAT (Conditionnal animation tool). I used it to retract the hangar of the Amundsen by setting 110.00 on my helicopter's NAV2! But you have to compile with MakeMDL.

Furthermore, unfortunatly, it is not compatible on version after FSX (P3D, Steam...) It is because I dont use this yet.

The Arthur M. Anderson on modernization dock : removing old radar and replace it by two modern, adding bridge and auto-loading installation, little repaint etc.

just for the record, Polsteam Orla was build in Szczecin, Poland, one of few last ships from this shipyard that was recently closed.

Orla means "eagle's"
