• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Hi all,

As you can see we are running updated forum software now. All the information from the old forum has been imported and the old links should be redirected correctly.

The only thing we haven't done yet is add back the download section. We will do that shortly, but we didn't want to keep the forum offline longer than needed.

If you find any thing that doesn't work as before or if you have other trouble, please let us know.

Thanks for the feedback guys. At the moment I think we are using default styles. It has taken Arno best part of two days to get this up and running again and we wanted to make it available as soon as possible. I am sure that there are other 'skins' available. I am not too keen on the default font either so I will check to see if we can change it to something more easy on the eyes!

We are on a new server so I suppose it will take a while to get it tuned - not my area of expertise at all though!
 
As Jon said we are using a default skin at the moment. We made only minimal changes to it. But we will continue to tune things more in the coming days. That can include changing the skin. All suggestions are welcome.

Fyi: had some trouble logging in. Needed 4 attempts. But gave me time to put on my sunglasses;).
Just getting acquainted with the new layout. Not bad at all (with my :cool: on).
Particularly interesting for compensating my lack of being able to express myself correctly/decently, is the bar with smileys (especially the :confused:,:D,:eek:,:oops:,o_O,:whiteflag,:stirthepo,:mischievo,:banghead:,:duck:and :rotfl:).

PS Yes it is incredibly slow but I thought that was because I had internet radio running in the background.

I did a little test, reduction of the look by 10-13% as far as font goes, makes the site much easier on the eyes. More causes strain.

We also need the subforums to be listed under the subsections. Premature action that I think will reduce people posting in the wrong sections resulting from confusion looking at the main forum page.
