• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Forum update

Like all things new, it will take time to become acclimated with this shiny new forum software. I was really beginning to 'Jones' for FS Developer though; it's been such a part of my daily morning routine for so long... :coffee:
 
Can the default font be set to something without serif (i.e. Arial)?
 
I am having issues with the site remembering my login. I have to log in each time I visit. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Also in the quick reply, it is not registering each keystroke, forcing me to slow down my typing in order for it to capture everything and even then it misses a few letters and spaces. This is not an issue of my machine as other forums and apps record accurately.
 
Did you check the box to stay logged in when you signed in? By default it's off (I also forgot it a few times). Else it might be a cookie issue.
 
Hi all,

I'm rebuilding the search index at the moment, so that should fix the search problem hopefully (does make a site a bit slower at the moment).

For the performance I'm quite happy at the moment. So next thing to look at is the style. I'll see if I can adjust the style to be more like the old forum (colour and font wise).

And we still have to add back the downloads as well, so that's another thing to work on.
 
The search index has been rebuild now, so that means the search function is working.
 
I'm having trouble with linking images to my showroom thread. They don't appear and all previous pictures are non-visible as well. Threads of others seem to work fine so it doesn't seem to be something like a browser issue. Overall though, I like the new design!
 
It was a cookie issue. It turns out my home pc holds the login info, my work pc must be blocking the cookie from saving after browser exit. I can try to replace the new site cookie data with the old site cookie data.

Also where are the attachments?

Very tidy new look to the forum and the posting is working really nicely. Is there a means of quickly looking up a given user's posts (or my own) or does it have to go through search? I'm still finding my way around and may have overlooked this.

Hi! As told before, I want to thank the staff for their effort! But, where have the signature pics gone?
 
Let me check tonight what happened with the signature pictures during the import of the data.
