I guess the problem is in the very simple contact points for the ai models, because Knud who is doing much of the first testing on the project, noticed that with a pilotable ship he could sail on the lake. In principle it could be solved by editing the static_cg_height to 182 metres - for those ships only sailing on e.g. one of the lakes it would be possible, but on the rivers like Mississippi where the water level gradually raises I can't see the solution. And of course then the next problem is that I if I edit the static height then I might have to launch a fix at the first update... or the maybe the following...If amphibien can land on theses lacs, if should be possible to hack some variables and use it to solve your problem as (a: sim on ground) or similar variables.
I have put a bug report on zendesk, hope it can be solved quickly... Meanwhile we better distribute life jackets on ships sailing upstream...This is what I also discovered with my ships that sailed up the St. Lawrence Seaway. A little upstream from Montreal, where the river level is 62 feet, the Atlantic Huron only emerged from its cabin. In Montreal, where the river level is 16 feet, a few miles downstream, the hull appeared. The boat was completely out of the water at Lake Saint-Pierre, a good distance downstream from Montreal, where the river level is 0 feet. For the moment, therefore, my ships will leave from Lac-Saint-Pierre.View attachment 69677
From what I know so far the wakes or other effects have not yet been implemented in MSFS2020. On the other hand, is the link to download the AI boats already available? The ships are moving but I don't see their wake!
This is an extraordinary package in every sense, in these days I went in search of ship traffic around the Italian coasts and the only negative thing I notice is the lack of wake of the ships in navigation. Although each ship has its [Effects] in the .cfg file and the Effects folder is present.

Yes, Hard Deck Simulations have released a fully working aircraft carrier complete with catapults.Henrik, reading through all this now, what a massive effort on your part. Bless your soul, man.
I don't have MSFS yet, as I get the impression that it is not fully baked -- your thread seems to confirm this opinion - but I did want to ask this question: you had mentioned a few pages back that there would be no hard surfaces? Are none of the ships (so far) landable in MSFS?

yes, there is a full time job and family which has priority... Hopefully tomorrow or Saturday if nothing comes up. Beta 2 was just sent to a few of the beta testers for a last check.Global AI Ship Traffic was scheduled to be released on Monday or Tuesday according to the author´s info. It has been rescheduled? Thanks
I posted a bug report regards to the sinking ships on zendesk, which is now marked as solved... I hope that means we will see the ships resurface in one of the next updates...This is what I also discovered with my ships that sailed up the St. Lawrence Seaway.
