sorry to replying late but is there any solution to make modelconverter work in windows 8? plus what do I need to update? and how to find out what Opengl version I have?

Sorry that your still unable to run MCX,.. but have you done a search on your Graphics card or video card yet as I suggested earlier? And Kevin has offered links as well,...

I'm running Windows 8.1 and MCX and all other applications from this site (or linked to) function as they are suppose to... Its up to you now,..

I updated my windows 8 to 8.1 pro and I managed to get the red background crosses out but now there is importing error. I tried to import Delhi airport T3 bgl but it came up with net.framework error(see below). My graphics card is intel mobile(r)4 series, I went on the intel website but there are no updates available for this mobile series. Any solution as to how to get MCX working

This error still seems related to opengl.

I see you are using version 1.3, does the development release give the same error? Just to make sure it's not a bug I have fixed since then.

Ok, I'm afraid it has to do with the OpenGL support of your graphics card then.

I now use modelconverter X 120 and seems to work fine. I have imported my dae file to MCX but I do not know how to add night textures to the buildings and to the flood lights. Please help me add night textures. After that I need to place the model using Airport Design Editor 9x but I do not know how to add the model using ADE (Airport Design Editor 9x). Any step procedures to add night textures (I have GIMP) and place the model using Airport Design Editor 9x would be helpful. Thank you

Hi,

In the material editor you can assign the different textures. You will see that a diffuse map is assigned already and you need to add the night texture in the night map slot.

never mind I created night textures using GIMP. But it would be helpful is someone gives a step procedures of how to make a flood light glow like it does in all payware airport scenery and how to get reflective glass on buildings. I have GMAX but it is kind of complicated for me
