• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

New MiG-15Bis for P3D and MSFS&FSX from BearStudios.

Hi Bill,
one thing, can you increase a little the model of pilot on external view? The body seems too small and is set too high according me. His arms should, in principle, end at the height of the hull/fuselage. The head fits under the dome but it should be bigger.

The MiG-15bis is a fairly small aircraft. It could be nice to have a little bigger body in SP1a for example of future fix. Looks a little strange.

See here, examples:

Very thanks for the reference.

I have create pilot figure from chinese pilot average shape, their height like me less then 175 mm, about 168-172, thin and have different arm/leg scale from russian pilot,
In MiG-15/17/19 cockpit, they often put a pad under parachute package on ejectseat to increase height they setting, so current pilot shape small, and setting higher.
As same reason, MiG-21F-13`s ejectseat system have auto covered windshield, cause chinese pilot death during ejection.

When next update Ver1.3.2 (just flight and marketplace need to using this increase ver number on current package, so it may be a big version than that. current Ver1.3.2 on JF == Ver1.3.1-SP1 on simmarket ), I will make the new shape have russian pilot shape, or insert a node to let user choise to using default jet fighter pilot. (base on my study for new technology from SDK)

It's not even that, most men in Europe are also between 170-180, but in general the figure in the model is a bit too small.

Thx! Notice that pilot's head is something like 2/3 of canopy, in the model is 1/2, something like this. Good news :) Bill, I appreciate it a lot!

In this picture I marked the size of body and head in the cockpit. Current body looks like a child, not an adult, even from China :). Notice that he could safely pass under the wing even :) (where an adult human has it at waist/chest height).

And two more to show the body size (the first is from 17 but the size of canopy is the same).

Hello, there is a problem with the camouflage paints and no they are not seen with the SP1
If the metallic still too high, I will send to you a blue-end rending set for paint camouflags, please send me e-mail so I can attach it.
I can not draw camouflag properly by myself, so the metallic totally rending to blue end for reduce shine.

Notice:
A youtube user report aircraft can not auto feed fuel from center fuentank when external tank empty. this will cause engine flame off almost 60 min flight.
I check the fuel feed logic, findout default update frequency difference from MSFS and P3D cause auto select fuel tank sequency not active by fuel qty conditions remains in the proper fuel tanks.
So I make a new logic control xml file for deal with this issue.

The MiG-15Bis auto fuel feed sequency:
Normal Steps
1, 26 Gallons from Center fuel tank (Main Tank)
2,All fuels 106 gallons x2 form 2x PTB-400 droptanks
3,Up to 64 Gallons from Center fuel tank (Main Tank)
4, If have fuel above 2 gallons, and 2nd fuel pump switched on, burn from Center2 fuel tank (After Aux Tank, 42 gallons)
5, All fuel remained in Center fuel tank (Main Tank) to burn empty.

This aircraft has only fuel pump control manually is aft/main tank switch(2nd fuel pump). if not switch this 2nd fuel pump on, engine burn fuel from main tank.

Usage:
Recommand that Ver1.3.1 update to Ver1.3.1-SP1(simmarket) or Ver1.3.2(JustFlight, Marketplace)
Download and unzip this MiG_FuelFix.zip attached here, and overwrite same named file in Panel/MiG folder after you install aircraft.

Another thing, V1.3.1-SP1(V1.3.2) have 8-bit engine sound from P3D, replace 16-bit wav and reduce size, I change the sound.cfg to get a better engine whine. but the improve limited by source files.
If Wwise can use, I will mix VK-1A engine from a FT-5 flight video clip record and build sound package in future update.

OK, I using paint.net tool change the aircraft metallic texture to blue. It may reduce the shinning for create not metal paint skins

Usage:
Recommend that Ver1.3.1 update to Ver1.3.1-SP1(simmarket) or Ver1.3.2(JustFlight, Marketplace)

1, If you want to change all metallic effect, please unzip from the attached 3 zip files, and overwrite the same named files in texture folder. in this case, not need to update layout.json manually by tools, but all of aircraft skins become less shine.
2, If you want to reduce some aircraft skins metallic or create your own skin, please copy to the texture.xx folder (e.g. for texture.BUNNY5 , the bunny racer livery), then, update layout.json by tools or manually.
3, before overwrite, please store the default file or your own file in a safe location for backup

Ok, the simmarket advise to merge fuel feed patch into their release package, so I updated it to Ver1.3.2 on simmarket

A new publisher Inibuilds release same version Ver1.3.2 with same content as simmarket updates.

Since Just Flight using a installation tool create by my side and need test after merge, so it may need a while for include the fuel feed patch. if you bought from Just Flight, you may download the standard patch here for now.

About MS marketplace......their still in review and not release yet, if their accept the Ver1.3.2 and release, it not include fuel feed patch I posted here and merge into V1.3.2 packages for other stores.
However, I do not want to take a increased version by their rule just for small patch, which different from other stores at same time,
So the fuel feed patch and other updates, include pilot shape and sound, flight model modify will include into Ver1.3.3 after marketplace edition released.

For P3D/FSX user. I will update for same changed contents compatibly from MSFS edition Ver1.3.2(Ver1.3.1-SP1)
Pilot shape will rebuild in P3D/FSX version first. I have your images and aircraft interior cut chart for adjust scale and position for the figure
I have changed the gps map panel looks as MSFS version. some logic control code from MSFS work well on FSX/P3D

Another thing, do you have SBLIM-2 or UTI cockpit/gauge/panel/equipment's different information or image?
Or I follow the cockpit in 1970`s china PLAAF FT-2?(A PLAAF modifying from MiG-15Bis with very poor internal fuel, but engine thrust than UTI, this model cockpit has lots of equipment from MiG-17/19/21)

NewPilot.jpg

the pilot shape changed to 120% , I have find pics for MiG-15Bis 2057 and Pilot, but other pic shows the pilot a bit bigger and tall.
So if scale OK, I will assemble it.
