• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

New scenery Göteborg-Landvetter FSX/P3D2 RC-Scenery

Thanks, yes, it is a nice egg.
It is photo real photo-shopped ground and various layers of groundpoly where possible and necessary.

Just for your info and to close this thread (unless somebody has some questions), here goes an update on my previous comments.
In short, I am glad I put in an easter egg because Santa went by but forgot to collect the scenery.
Now Easter has come early and V2 is available.
Unfortunately I have not the faintest what the final v2 looks like because I only have fs9 on my laptop.
But from what I hear and from the screenshots I see, it looks good, is still fps friendly and (that, I am sure of) a lot more detailed than v1.

PS: from our side the v2 is free but Simmarket needed to ask some money for the extra installer, if not they would have lost money on everyone that had already bought the v1 and would download the v2. Do not ask me to explain any further but that is what we understood from them.

Re ESGG v2

Hi everybody,

Thank you for downloading the v2 version of ESGG (Göteborg Landvetter Airport).
Unfortunately it seems that some of you that have P3Dv3 miss the taxi and apronlights.
This is due to the installer placing the effect files in an effect folder outside the P3Dv3 folder.
We have had only a few comments on this so we wonder whether people believe we made the scenery without those lights:eek:.
To make sure, this it what it should look like:

If it does not, please contact us and we will help you make it right.
Moreover, you will also get some further embellishments of the scenery as well.

Cheers,

Chico & Roby

Howdi all,

Guess you all wondered when and if we would update our scenery.
We never left off but it took (takes) usually more time than you imagine at first.
So, yes, a V3 is upcoming but we cannot give you a date yet. But it will be shortly (as far as that goes as a definition of how soon that it is going to be;)).
The idea is to upload it to SimMarket for free for all those that already bought v1 or (even paid extra for ) v2, unless the former finds an excuse to charge you for it (but I am confident that they will not because I guess they are decent people after all).
But in the rather inconceivable case they are not, we will keep you informed of where and when you will find the v3 update.
It should be completely compatible with P3D upto v3.2 plus the option of making it work also in P3Dv3.x when Lockheed Martin decides to break backward compatibility for good with FS2002 type ground polygons.
It takes so long because when everything works in FSX, it does not mean that it automatically works the same way in P3D as well.
I am not at home so I cannot send you screenshots but those will come for sure.

Cheers,

:)

Hi,

v3 almost there.
Could not help myself but to put in some optional scenery in the woods close to the VOR/DME facility:

Could not help myself Chico's bar.jpg

But that is besides the point.
Some more v3 screenshots:

At night:

Some of these cars are animated:

And a one before the last one:

And then finally the last one:

FSX Yep that is also Sweden but in winter and snowing.jpg

Cheers :D

Fantastic, grey and dreary just like Landvetter is in real life. I know because I've been to that airport more times than any other. Looking forward to the update!

Cheers!/Andreas

Looking forward to the update!
Then hold your breath and do not suffocate, Andreas and Sergio:).
As a beta tester and a contributor to the scenery, I can only say that my partner does not know how to stop!
It finally works in P3Dv3 also except from some bleed through when you are really trying to find it and most probably you will not because it is at the far edge of rwy 03 where no one will go slewing and look top down and then you have to wiggle and rotate before it shows up in locked spot view (only).
However, as my partner is Swedish and his beta tester is from Gothenburg, they always find something to complain about, even suggesting we should wait until P3D updates to v4:rolleyes:.
But because P3D is so much different from FSX, you may have to choose between the two. I have not the faintest.
But if you are on FSX, let me tell you that everything works fine and that the only difference(at the moment) with P3D will be the bleed through you will probably not notice and some AI ground vehicles not showing their blinking lights.
Stupidly enough we spent a lot of time getting inside the scenery a rotating radar at the other side of the runway and a TV mast 15 miles out that you would see when you are on approach to rwy 21.
So help me in convincing them that you do not need to look top side down on the airport from 8000 ft up to see something flickering in P3D.
All the eye candy has been updated and professional (former) pilots find no more faults.
If we wait any longer, we will have to update the airport again (once more because in the meantime they asphalted the whole of the apron again and so did we) and although the Mc Donalds and the gas station (at the exit of the highway) are not in the scenery, you could add it yourself if you go over there and take some pictures.
I prefer to like it as it is and go and have a drink in Chico's bar after arrival (in the optional scenery);).

Cheers,

Roby

Well done. I hate using a GP poly for "camouflaging" offset threshold arrows in ADE, just to see them stick out as a bad finger in rain :ziplip:

If I may...would it be possible to make the photo green less light greenish? I say this as a fan of this scenery :)

Cheers,
:stirthepo

Yes, we could. That is the last thing that was left to do. We now only had summer green and (high) winter.
The threshold arrows are now integrated as well.

Nice work!

Robystar, they are also extending the apron a bit towards the fire station. The last grass area between the apron and the road closest to the fire station is gone now.
There will also be three or four new gates in that direction, but that is a few years away. http://www.swedavia.se/PageFiles/10648160/landvetter-nyhet.jpg

There will also be a lot of new buildings close to McD in the future. Last time I were there they were in progress flattening the ground in this area.

Great, thanks a bunch:(.
That is what happens when one takes too long in finishing a scenery:mad:.
But I am afraid that is going to be for v4 as we are very close to releasing v3. Just double checking everything in P3D:).

A message from our Beta tester:

"Man who waits for roast duck to fly into mouth must wait very, very long time". (Chinese proverb)

I think we wont see any new building for at least a year or two and the time plan to complete everything is about 10 years or more (I don't remember the exact plan) so there is no rush =)

That reassures us although we are in a rush because the more we add the more differences we find between the FSX and the P3D (v3) version.
