EDIT: Problem Solved. Had to make my own scenery folder within the Addon Scenery parent folder. It now works fine.
Hi,
Go to Tools -> Library Manager. There you can add new user library BGL files or even load single MDL objects into your XML file (the last will geo-lock them of course).
Hello everybody. I juste found this great tool. But i don't know how to put a background image.
If somebody can help me with a great tutorial, it will be fine.
Thank.
The library bgl and its textures should be in an active scenery folder already. WhisPlacer just places an instance of the object.I go to the library, and click the Tools/Library manager/User ,and Add BGL library, and browse to my .bgl model, then add it to a airport, save the model in the airport's scenery folder ,anythings wrong? But there is nothing in FSX ,By the way ,where did the textures for the model go ? It's driving me crazy ,thanks
Thank you so much.My problems has been solved ,but it's ok to put bgl into the game that way.Is it possible to create a thumnail for my model, so that I can see its preview live in the game ,that way the placement will be more accurate, now I've got to do that several times before it is accurate.Because I have satellite image as the background of the airport in the FSX.ThanksThe library bgl and its textures should be in an active scenery folder already. Yes, WhisPlacer can do live placement in FSX as well. You first need to export your library to SimObjects and then you can connect WhisPlacer live to FS.
the preview works very well,I could put the model wherever I wanted to put it .But when I deleted the original models in an active folder,There is nothing left in the game when it is runningHi,
The sim object folder is only for the live preview. When you distribute your scenery you would just put your library BGL file in the scenery folder of your project.
I guess We can use the default models ,without not necessarily saving some models in active scenery folder, because it's already in the an active folder in the game, right? The same apply with the models we make ourselvesThe library bgl has to remain in the scenery folder. When you save the placement bgl and close the live preview that's what's being used.
