• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Posky 747 in P3DV5

Good day to everyone. I've been trying to convert the posky E-4B Model to P3DV5 for quite a while, but never got big results. Everytime i convert the plane, the engines wont spin. Hiroshi Igami, big guy in flightsim community told me to talk with Carl. I tried talking with Carl Lyndon Nepomuceno ( the one converting the 747 on facebook) but he wouldnt tell me what to do afraid of me being that other facebook guy that everyone on flightsim community knows. The best thing i tried to do was what gavinc wrote in < https://www.fsdeveloper.com/forum/t...fter-export-in-modelconverterx-solved.454427/ > . I would like to thank you all in advance, since i've been trying to do this conversion for personal use. Sorry for my english.

Do the other conversions work in p3dv5 ??? from this page https://www.facebook.com/groups/944745372679875
Im also pretty sure the E-4B is being worked on for conversion by this same group, Hiroshi gave us permission to convert them so that's probably why Carl is unwilling to share the information.
As i talked with Carl, yes, they are working on the E-4B, but, how many time will it take? I posted here to maybe get info from more experienced people to help me doing it. I already re-textures the whole E-4B to make it look like nice :)

Well as Carl is doing this in his free time for the good of the FS community I guess he can take as long as he wants. I know the next batch are almost ready for release so you shouldn't have too long to wait.

The thing is that i want to know how to do it, i can do it to THOUSANDS of planes that i've already tried and had the same problem as the E-4B.

Sorry but we ONLY gave permission to CARL
So you don't have ANY RIGHTS to do it and release.

Remember permission is from the Trust.
And one very simple things I'll say.

Why are you guys always just say want , why don't you make it if really loves and wanted.
Time ??? well thats same at our side , it's just a word of exception.
Be creative and make it from zero if really want.

maybe u didint get it yet. Im using posky E-4B as a example, since i had the same issue in more planes. And as i said, im not releasing it, its for personal use. I dont do it from zero bacause i don't have the knowledge to it and don't have big amount of time to learn. I hope you understand it now :)

For jet engines you use the N1 animations instead of the prop animations. So prop0_still should be N1_0_still. They're in the drop down list.

Understood ! So i must do the same gavinc wrote but instead of prop0_still i'll use N1_0_still and others. I will try as soon as i can and post here what i got !

FS2004's MS default animation which is N1_still , N1_slow N1_Blurrred don't have a animation written at a source side.
Only needed is axis of the parts and set the parts name when compile.

Now, i'm in a new part of the project. the Texture section. In FSX, textures used to have shadows itself, but, in P3DV5, with PBR, we don't need it anymore. I've been taking a look on original's Posky paintkit but the "rivets" layer is giving me problems. Any idea?

Hi Hiroshi,

The FS9 MakeMDL compiler adds the keyframe animations to the MDL file when compiling the source file, so when you load the FS9 MDL file into MCX it displays the resulting keyframe animations even for the "intrinsic animations". Thus when you export as an FSX model (which does require keyframe animations), they are already there.

Hope this helps,

Sirs, I have one more question. I Adjusted the E-4B Attach points to the plane be as the horizon line, cause originally the plane is a ramp. (i put a example in attachments, idk if u can notice) but now the tires are also sunk into the ground as the image. Is there a way to solve it by editing the animations?

Just edit the Contact Points in the plane's aircraft.cfg file.

You need to raise up the wheels in that section, not just change the angle.
