• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

"Dude":

Do you think you will continue to get more or better replies to your questions if you alienate people who take the time to try and help you to ..."learn how to help yourself" ? o_O

It may prove rewarding to read linked threads in the above Google search before requesting more time from people in this forum ! :alert:

why do you have to spam, do you think that you are smart? No you aren't, if you dont know to help why do you have to spam i dont understand you, if you reply one more time to make yourself "smarter" i'll report you, thanks.

Teo:

FYI: I do know how to help you.

IMHO, the question I asked above is quite reasonable; are you committed to learning how to help your self ?

If you are committed to learning how to help your self, would it prove helpful to your learning process to alienate people in this forum who are in a position to help you find the answers you seek ?

There are indeed tutorials and forum posts at FSDeveloper that answer your question in the OP above. ;)

IMO, you must do some searching and self study to better understand the topic under discussion. :coffee:

I do before i post here, i tryed to find something but i didnt find anything so i posted here, and if you know how to help, why not help?

Relax Gary. I know you try to help everyone.

I think "dude" is for a friend or who you are familiar with. Correct me if I am wrong, I am not an native English-Speaking. I would not use this word for someone who I meet and chat with on the first time.
"read again what i am requesting before post" is not a good one, I think.

I have a tutorial for you. You just have to go to Wiki, there are a lot of articles there. http://www.fsdeveloper.com/wiki/index.php?title=Taxi_light

Can we please keep this civil. I understand that for some people here English is not their first language but some of the replies here are not conducive to getting help.

It appears that Tekika had already Google searched for "taxiline" lights and was frustrated with the results. If so, he did what he was supposed to and then he asked for the kind of search that an engine can't do. Someone with experience that understands what he really wants while still describing it in words that aren't key search terms. It can be demeaning to feel like someone assumed they did not do what could be an obvious first step, a Google search and then to have that same unproductive search handed to them. Better to assume they searched first, asked second. Tekika's search wouldn't necessarily have lead to the Wiki, although in this case it should have, because I think that was the answer Tekika was looking for and hopefully he will fulfill his end of the online support bargain and report whether it helped or not.

Firstly i tryed to find something on google, i saw this tutorial from Jirayu and i saw that there is no taxiline light just like apron lamps..Then i posted herr that i am requesting a tutorial..I dont post here just to get into debate or conflict, i posted that i need help. so why do you have to spam on every post, you dont have better thing to do in your life except to spam in every post on this forum, how i see Jirayu and Gary tryes to help me becouse i am beginner, you was too before you get "skilled" or maybe im wrong, you are born smart and knows everything?

Gary and Jirayu thanks for your help i really appreciate this and Gary sorry for my words which i said to you, Thankse

Guys, be patient. Tekica MUST complete their project. It is very important to him. Special thanks to Gary, I learned many things from its publications.

One more spammer, yes i MUST finish my project becouse that is my first project and i want to make it much better as i can

I dont post here just to get into debate or conflict
The absolute best way to avoid debate or conflict is to not assume debate or respond in conflict, just in case one is mistaken. Under that provision, the reply to my first post on this thread would have been a simple "no, it did not work for me".
It is likely that there is no such "centerline" tutorial and the question would arise, a suggestion in less careful conversation, as to why Tekika would not just follow the blue light tutorial and change the color to green. If there is a good reason as to why not and he could reply it without vehemence or accusations, the community may be able to respond and eventually guide him to a solution.

@=rk= I know that, i have in plan to change just the color but the light is not the same, its like smashed over the centerline, and this is volumetric..Do you understand me?

Folks I am getting close to closing this thread. It seems everyone is starting to report everyone else and I do not see that this is helpful or conducive. Please keep it civil

Just make a plane with a texture sticked to the ground. After that, apply a centerline light texture to it (look for it on google images).

Then, apply a bright green LM (night texture) to that plane to simulate the light on. Also, set the material to be emmisive for more bright (check SDK for that)
If you check the tutorials mentioned before, you'll see a mipmap technique you can also apply here for the splash to be seen from further away.

Sorry cannot give more details. I'm on my phone right now.

Edit:

Here you got a example pic for a texture.
You can also make a 3d model for that, but are unusefull polygons for your scenery

Yes, it is pretty much the same thing, same technique using the light texture and setting the material as the taxi light. I do not have tutorial for this. I usually use the center light texture as Tisor posted and make green light by the same way making the tree but using the light texture as this thread. When you are done, you need to export each part separately.

1. I export the center light texture in one mdl and use MCX to make ground poly since it will not cause flickering.
2. I export the light texture as a separated mdl and use MCX to correct the curvature of the earth.

Both of them use the same coordinate to place in FSX, so they will match together.

If you export both the center light texture and the light together, there center light texture will be flickering. However, the flickering is acceptable since each of them is just a small dot when you are far. Try a small area and see if you satisfy with it. Then do bigger.

Good luck.
