• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

I resumed since few weeks my ENTO scenery, I'm about to finish the ground. I'll post screenshots asap :p

Recopilatory links on map with Google Earth.

We can create a simple KML(Google Earth) file with all the links to the thread forum or to the web of the project.
Every developer only need to create a link on Google Earth, save it as KML ans upload the KML file to a Recopilatory thread. Then with a simple clicking and downloading every KML file project we can can save again all the projects in one KML files. After this we only have to add the rest of the files that people upload. And Put the KML recopilatory file updated at the top of the thread.

I think we talked about that before? I remember creating a google maps overlay to test this (better than kml files), but we ended with the discussion because it was not possible to create layers that can be edited by everybody.

I am quite curious. I was able to edit it and place markers for my current/finished projects. Is this not what you were hoping to do?

Omg, that thing seems to have developed a life of its own.

Well I guess it's working then. We should consider spreading the news about that map.

me too :), never seen before this map, very nice idea, the easiest way to show all the projects around the world!
I will put a link on my site forum!

Hi,

If I remember correctly we stopped the discussion last time with the conclusion that the concepts works, but I prefer to have something that integrates into the FSDeveloper forum or Wiki. I want it to be part of the rest of the community and not some separate map.

I have seen a few solutions to integrate for example a map in the Wiki, but I haven't had time yet to look at them.

The only downside of a Google Earth setup is that people have more layers open at once than just the 'FSDeveloper.com' layer. I agree with Arno that if it is somehow possible to integrate it into a sticky thread or just in the wiki it would be pretty good.;)

MTPP Scenery

Hi everybody,

I'm a complete freshman, in the forums and in scenery design. I am working on my first scenery and would like to share a few first mood shots of what is coming.

The airport is MTPP, Port Au Prince, Haiti. I was planning of getting it done by mid February, but then quickly decided to remodel everything and make a more thorough approach. Still lots to do I guess and I'm sure you will find a few newbie questions very soon in these forums.
