I've been working on a model for FS2020 for my home airport and the model itself is coming along nicely. I've started texturing as well and I've looked up as much as I could about materials and UVW mapping, but I'm stuck.
In 3ds, the model is textured (I've restarted the texturing process a few times so this iteration is halfway done):
My concern is the building attached to the tower. When I export the model into flightsim, the tower is textured fine, but Babylon doesn't export the building UVW texture and it's not loaded in the sim. The building itself is a box primitive with the following modifiers; the texture I'm using are attached as well.
Like I said, the tower is textured fine in flightsim, but the building is missing textures.
I have not found a proper (FS-oriented) UVW tutorial that helps and I'm stuck. Also, the textures halfway up the tower (the grey part) and at the top under the canopy should be tiled, and they show up fine in 3ds, but again, FS is apparently doing its own thing. The solar panels are currently textured though the materials editor as a separate .bmp, which is why they're as they should be.
Any help and/or pointers to resources going into detail about how this works in flight simulator specifically would be appreciated! I'm also willing to share my work as it stands if needed. I do enjoy modelling but these textures are giving me a headache.
