• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

FSXA ZBAA Beijing International Airport for FSX

Cargo area is quite tough. The airport is so big and a lot of buildings. No wonder why there is no one doing this airport before.

Here are some more buildings. I need to start the new texture sheet however the fps is still good for my century old WindowsXP, Core Quard CPU. Some buildings are made in detail, but some aren't. The most important factor is the distance from the runway and taxiway. One another important factor is lacking of photos.

Awesome!
For a long time watching the project.
Little question. Did you plan to carry out a beta, alpha testing? If so, I can help you with that. I have FSX and P3Dv3.

Hope everything's coming along well. I'm also a huge fan or the Beijing Capital airport and your work A_A. Happy to help with any testing or AFCAD refinements.

Thanks Kevin for offering.
However the AFCAD needs a lot of work and refinement. Since there are a lot of tunnel under the taxiway and runway. It needs a special work on AFCAD not just the parking spaces, taxiways and runways

I have been playing around with the shadow in P3Dv3. It is quite impressive and I need to fix something and add more detail to the models to make shadow more realistic.
I think some big names in scenery maker just drop shadow out to gain more fps. But I think if user want to get more fps, they can choose right in the program. If they would like to see shadow in detail, they can switch it on. If I drop this shadow out in the making process , none would be seen. Only fixed shadow baking on texture is seen and no change with time.

The dynamic shadows is one of the elements where P3D really distinguishes itself from FSX and adds realism - the shadow of the Air China Cargo sign looks just great.

Simply amazing! I can't want to for this scenery (considering I've always been dying to find a Beijing Scenery).
