• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

MSFS20 Global AI Ship Traffic FSX, P3D and MSFS2020

Inspired by a project recreating Sao Luis de Maranhão in Brasil I have done a few giant ore carriers... (link to project at voovirtual site in portuguese http://www.voovirtual.com/t43591p75-ilha-de-sao-luis-ma-fotoreal#336601)

Berge Stahl - during many years the largest ship in the world with 342 x 63 m

China Steel Succes - a typical modern cape size ore carrier measuring 300 x 50 m

Cape Midori - a sister to China Steel Succes

Vale Brasil - the largest ore carrier at the moment with 362 x 65 m and 400.000 tons - still some work to do

Very nice ships and its a huge collection you already brought us into the flightsim world. Congratulation for that and keep the work you do :)

just a little question beside the big vessels...have u any plans to maybe make some smaller Dhows that are very common in the middle eastern gulf region that ship around on smaller routes?

Damn, These ships look great KL791!

QUESTION: Have you every though about creating a (separate) "SHIP-simulator" (add-on) inside the FLIGHT-simulators your ships are compatible with?

TIP: This link you provided is broken,
when I click on it it redirected to a forum-login-page

Sorry, you are right the Brazilian flightsim site needs registration - I will see if I can post a few pictures over the weekend.

And yes and no to your question - the thing is that while I would like to do it it requires more dedicated time than what I do have available - the modelling I can do while I travel, which I do more than most... Just arrived from China this morning and spent half the flight modelling.

And then a small update - Cxema who also contributed to the project earlier surprised me today with a couple of nice models

Well I started on one some time ago while I was working routes and pirates of the coast of Somalia - maybe I will take it up again.

Love these, quick question. Is there a master install or do you have to update with all the packages? Where can I get the NATO fleet? Are the AI time and date specific?

Is there a website where they are all hosted?

Thank you

The two files are:

Global AI Ship Traffic V1

200 AI Ships and AI Ship Traffic V2

None of the other files are no longer necessary.

Work continues however with no deadline... Right now working on Brazilian waters..

Hi,

Just need to double check my install is working. Went to rio and saw a Brazilian navy ship love up the port. Is that correct?

While Ripcord is doing the US Navy I have got a bit of help from Sébastian Viale, Lazarus, Erwin Welker, and Alberto Garcia to complete the other navies :D :D :D... China, Brazil, Spain, Denmark, Chile, Thailand, Taiwan, UK, France.... well not all the ships but enough to give a feeling...

Hi,

Is the royal navy going to be done? I would love to see some type 46 in the channel. Love your groups work amazing stuff.

Quick question? Any chance of getting the rnli modelled?

Hi all,

Just looking to populate the UK channel with a few more ships. Is there anyway to do this with out creating missions or scenarios? I would like to see the ships in the channel on every flight.

Thank you.

You can do that with Google Earth and the freeware AIBTC or wait for the next update which will again increase traffic density as more and more models are becoming available. The routes in the project are done so that every day over a 14 period you will see a different traffic pattern in areas like the Channel. The next update will bring both some heavy weighters and some smaller ships to the Channel. Below some of the newies which will be present in the Channel.

And another one which will mostly be seen along the coast of the United Kingdom especially near remote abbeys....

It is by the way the first model made by Knud - the author of the sound files for the project and several textures and not least hours of testing...

Wow this is totally cool. I love the work you guys do.

I fly the AW139 Heli mostly and I have always thought the sea looks very bland.

I was trying last night with the tool. Is it possible to have a ship follow a square pattern and repeat it so the ship is always there?

Thank you again all for your hard work

You are welcome - ships will always have to do a return trip, but you can shape the route as you want.

Cool thanks.

Are you aware of anyone working on the royal navy Type 46?

There is a great deal of beautiful military AI ship models from all periods of time and countries available at the Sim Outhouse SOH forum. I wonder if you might get the approval to use them.

From mobile hence short
