• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

MSFS20 Global AI Ship Traffic FSX, P3D and MSFS2020

:D
Now that some start requests for more extravagant stuff, I have some suggestions as well. How about:
- some derelict fishing boats with lots of fugitives on it in the Mediterranean or;
- some pirate vessels in the red sea on a collision course with some of your tankers over there or;
- a Russian sub in the Baltic or;
- Iranian speedboats with rockets in the Strait of Oman or;
- my dinghy (and me, in trouble) in rough waters and ripcurrents off the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica or;
- some well-endowed naked ladies on an air mattress close to some lonely tropical beach devoid of other interesting things in FS to look at or;
- ...
I'd better stop before I go too far if I have not already done so:stirthepo!

Cheers,

PS: I do not know how you do it but I have been working on some variations of catamaran ferries but they were always already done by you before I had time to finish them. So how can I make another contribution?

smugglers and patrol ships of Libya... yes
pirates in the Red Sea... done as well as Chinese, Americans, British, Danish and other navy ships hunting them...
Iranian speedboats no, but US Marines fast attack boats which got intercepted by the Iranians yes...
naked ladies no, but bikini girls yes...
subs yes - plenty - but you can't find them...
you haven't sent a picture so I couldn't include you in the dinghy....

This is not the "Fox News" simulator, so it should probably be a little closer to reality, imo. Thank's however, for the US fast attack boats, because it's my belief that there is no shortage of traffic attempting to lure out the speed boats.

Speaking of bikinis, do you have any of these?

The last ones are two close to airplanes to fit in a ship simulator....

Didn't someone do a Caspian Sea Monster for FSX at some point?

[Edit] From Wikipedia: 'The 2006 video game Microsoft Flight Simulator X features the KM in a mission. The Deluxe Edition contains additional missions, one of which also depicts the KM. '

You do know what the Caspian Sea Monster is, don't you? The CSM, the KM and the LUN Ekranoplan technically, are all the same ground effect vehicle. It's probably more accurate to call it a program, than it is to call it a vehicle. I write "technically," because there were at least two distinct variations, easily distinguished by the dihedral of the tail wing. The blisters on the back housed silkworm missiles - love the name of that missile btw, maybe Xi and Vlad aren't such BFF, as they claim.
The vehicles were designed for force projection, battleship style. The land locked Caspian rivals the Mediterranean and Persian Gulf in size, with some pretty radical gamer's along it's shores, leading up to - and we can't seem to get away from these guys, Roby - Iran. Not to imply that anyone living next to Iran needs a Caspian Sea Monster, simply to maintain border security, but dang, kind of makes you wonder, what everyone's afraid of...

"RobyStar, is that really you? The diversity of the developers present in this forum is tremendous...."
No, Hinrik, but that is how I sometimes feel when trying to figure out how to do things in P3Dv4:).

There was a Russian aviation series called 'Wings Of Russia' some years ago; eighteen (!!) or so programs of one hour each dubbed into English. One program was devoted in its entirety to the ekranoplan and quite a chunk of that focussed on the Caspian Sea Monster.

Is TacPac aviable for the French frigate L'Hermione?

No, seriously - again a wonderful additional to your great addon. Thanks to all involved!

Hopefully some north sea "Frisia" ferries for the next update (if planed) :) But awesome work so far. Looking forward for the upcoming update :)
