• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

I want to upload a freeware scenery in flyaway simulation website. But I cannot find an upload option in the entire website. I asked the support but they didn't answer. Please need help.
Thank you.

Hi Sappy, what is your problem? What are you searching for? you can left of the SEARCH FOR FILES button put in your desired name.

Flyawaysimulation charges people to download your free software. They have a restricted and throttled conduit for free downloads that also serves to prevent accusations of profiteering. Consider: paid members are not given perks or enhancements, the restrictions established for the general public are removed for paid members. If you go into the forums, you will see that "Radarman" and all the regular posters all have the little

icon under their name, which means of course, they are paid members. It is entirely possible that uploads are restricted to paid members, although that would seem to limit a revenue stream. Perhaps the circumstance is related to concerns over limiting access to one's own intellectual property.
At Avsim, the upload process is relatively transparent. They have library managers that respond and contact about issues. I know this because it is the only site to which I upload my free scenery and I recommend you do the same. I compared the two sites on Alexa, I invite anyone to review. Flyawaysimulation's global rank is about 10% higher than Avsim's; however, in the United States, a key demographic for discriminating simmers, Avsim maintains an almost 25% lead.

Also, put it this way; Avsim has been a resource all these years, they made it through the hack and Tom's passing and they never charge anyone for anything. The only thing keeping them going is donations, lots of volunteers and some ad revenue. I can't donate, but I can volunteer my scenery in the hopes it will provide valuable content for Avsim.
