• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Yes, it was. plan is TU-144D cccp-77115. I knew out there have TU-144D v3.5 from Russian developer, but it has fuel management problem that make aircraft jumping, roll uncontrollable and there no further development so far I follow it.

I learned the TU 144 (not sure if it's all versions) has retractable canards. I'm curious if that's possible to model with the FSX/P3D flight dynamics :)

Good luck with programming the systems and doing the flight dynamics on that one. The Concorde had a complex fuel balancing system to keep the center of gravity within limits during the long transatlantic flights. I assume the Tu-144 was no different.

Use the flap system.

prototype version didn't have canard, more over it far different from "production" version.

true, Concorde and TU-144 are have similarity on fuel balancing. this aircraft was very challenging... don't know how it will be ...

still on going ...

this aircraft still can't fly, no animation and rough VC. base on my experience with Osprey, I need to totally finish the model, then go to coding, FDE, sound. for next 6 month, maybe that will be first time the engine start and not flying yet. I have rough plan for this beast.

But didn't the TU require the crew to switch on pump to transfer fuel from one tank to another during the flight? In concorde this was automatically controlled by the onbroad computer but I do not recall if the TU also was able to do this automatically.

I don't know yet, but I will make it semi automatic for fuel balancing.

Awesome..........

Hope it goes well. Dont get burned out. Have fun making it.

I will....
