• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

FSXA Airbus A350 XWB

Has a Kickstarter ever been created for something Flight Sim related? Would be a first...With that VC, you'd have to do systems programming however, would almost be a crime to do anything less.

I've only seen early access stuff, so a Kickstarter would definitely be a first.

I think I've read somewhere one these forums that buying meshes from online stores could end up being way more problematic cause those models are not made for a game engine and might have more problems than not. I think someone ended up spending more time fixing the model than actually making progress with the project.

End of the day, you know how to model and do it well so you don't need to be using someone else's random model and be fixing the mess. No one is rushing you so take your time, enjoy the process and learn so much more from doing it yourself.

I agree with Lee. I have adopted someone else projects so many time. I found that making my own model is much better than using someone else model. Keep it up!

Well, the discription of the model says it was made for an unfinished FSX project, so I guess it's at least a bit optimized for use in the sim. But $700 is a whole lot of money for just a 3D model, so I would stick with your own creation

Even if it's optimized for FSX I just simply don't have the funds for it and don't feel like putting myself in any form of a debt for it.

Anyway, I started painting after finishing the paint kit (will be distributed to the appropriate painters soon)
I'm not sure about this livery thusfar though....

The shine makes the whole airplane look amazing.

Thanks! I noticed that on the Aeroflot livery the blue bit extends further along towards the nose, so I'll have to redo that. Also, as some of you may know, Aeroflot aircraft are all named after an important, historical, Russian. For example there's an A320 named after Y. Gagarin. What should I name this aircraft after?

She looks good! Even the cockpit looks amazing :)

Names? Don't ask me. The combination of history (especially a foreign) and me is almost impossibleo_O

Hello my dear friend

For me, your plane looks amazing and it only needs your own magic; nothing else! :twocents::twocents::twocents:
Every time I saw her, have new and very neat surprises; keep up the good work at your own pace! ;)

All the best,
Sergio.

Mikhail Simonov, important designer of the Su-27. Or, Andrei Tupolev (no explanation), bit unfriendly however towards the Tu-204.

Thank you Sergio!
As for the name I think I cannot use Euler because, and correct me if I'm wrong, swiss. I would have an hard time explaining why his name would be on an Aeroflot aircraft...
I like Daan's suggestion of Mikhail Simonov, probably gonna do that.

"A recluse by nature, he appeared strange and bizarre to his fellow townsfolk."

Just like your average add-on developer.

I would be offended if I did not know that that's absolutely true...
Sadly we all at the end of the day have to explain what we've done and no one will understand. :D

I thank you all for the submitted names, I'll take a look at it all, also to see which one would fit best in the rithm of aircraft names, and report back to you soon ;)

Thank you Lazaro! I actually forgot Iberia carried the royal symbol in their (old) logo...

Quite funny thing though when I tried to look it up with the thought it would be the emblem of the Royal Spanish familly.... Googled "King of Spain" and the first addition google suggested was "the police" (people making the lyrics mistake haha)

Anyway as a reward, I guess, here's my fail to see the mirror on the tail before the export:

Hi there,

Your model is just amazing! Is your VC and systems in progress? Do you think you'll finish this bus this year?
When I just see your plane, I'm just impatient as if I was waiting the A320 from FSLabs.
Will your systems will be simulated in depth as we could have like a PMDG aircraft, an option to choose failures like an IRS number 2 failure dans would cause AP and A/THR failures and so on? Or you'll be just developing the aircraft for SOP as Aerosoft does?
Just continue this superb job!
