• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Fokker 100

Oddly enough, I've noted more success with a file named: do_not_read_this_file.txt

Go figure!

Oh god, I didn't mean to offend anyone by posting "bigger" developers. What I meant by that is that you usually don't see FlyTampa, Flightbeam, FSDT or PMDG posting non-textured WIPs on this forum at every step of the way, because then THIS would happen. I didn't actually wanted to say names but I guess my comment went the other direction. Seriously. People on the internet get angry way to easily. I'm pulling out of this discussion.

@lionheart if my comments in any way, shape or form offended you, I apologize. It was not intended to be offensive. I actually didn't think my comment could be offensive. But rather it was a comment on the situation here. Please keep posting updates on this wonderful bird as you go along, as I will be following this thread quietly from now on to avoid starting a knife fight on this forum. Best of luck for the future! :)

All is well. No worries.

Bill, I will push myself forward as your new Customer Service employee and deal with all the boneheads out there if you make this into a nice bird with some nice systems. If people with the mind of a doorknob stop you from having a blast coding, modelling and designing systems, I will sacrifice myself and throw myself into the Lion(heart)pit for the sake of an incredible airplane!

I'm dead serious about this, since I just love the F100 and F70 that much, but I can't deal with the DA Fokker because of the 2D cockpit. I'm not able to fly properly with those panels. Call me spoiled, but I rather have a crappy VC then beautiful panels.

Thanks Roel for the kind offer.

Get in line, kiddo. :)

Exactly right Bill. I'm rather surprised this should happen on FSDeveloper of all places! Some people should consider posting their shopping list of demands on FSCustomer, wherever that might be...

Oh, I could name a few places....

How am I trolling him? Maybe you've misinterpreted my comment. I didn't mean to offend anyone, I didn't think my comment could be offensive. It was just a comment on the situation in this thread.

I see. No worries. Your work looks really good thus far.

Anyone have, or might know where to find, some good landing gear shots for the Fokker airliners 100 / 70? Finding anything online in google searches has shown nearly anything.

I'll be heading to Schiphol soon I think to do some spotting or something. They have a F100 on display on the Panoramadeck on the main terminal. You can get in and around it, so I can shoot some pics there if you need some specific spots captured.

Many thanks guys.

Gaputz, some great photos there. Thanks.

Roel, 'if' you go, (dont make a special trip), I could sure use some shots of the front and rear of the main and nose gear in between the tires, and also the sides (left and right) of one of the main gear near the top to see how it blends into a fork shape from the main gear cylinder.

Ahh the memories, the Project Fokker 100/70 for FS8 (later V2 for FS9) was the first FS project I was a part of as the modeller to reach fruition.
Best of luck with the Fokker.

Thanks Erez and thanks for the Fokker you did. Man I loved that thing. I logged quite a few hours in that it. Excellent work on the panel. I thought it was one of the best out there.

Is it for FSX as well? And also, if this project goes well perhaps you might consider continuing the family with a Fokker 50 which again is semi-lacking in the community :)

Thanks

Like Skinner_11 said, the F-50 will be developed by Coolsky and McPhat. Head to the McPhat FB page to see some amazing screenshots! I'm not kidding, this is one of the best (if not the best) looking aircraft for FS and looking at the Coolsky DC-9 the systems will be incredibly deep! (even the circuitbreakers work on the Coolsky DC-9)

Hi, Lionheart I was just checking in on progress. Canadian North once had a few Fokker 100's, hence my interest plus your work and quality attract me.

Absolutely gorgeous details! Keep up the good work, it looks amazing!

May I ask why there is an image of a 767 nose on the top image in the background... ? ;)
