• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

P3D v3 OMAA Fall 2016

Why?
just open that .bgl in MCX. The placement coordinates are already done and will be preserved by MCX.

Export from the 3D software, import in Model Converter, change the textures to DDS using Mass Texture Editor, export as MDL, click on Object Information.
Open Notepad, paste this:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<FSData
version="9.0"
xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"
xsi:noNamespaceSchemaLocation="bglcomp.xsd">
<SceneryObject
lat="40.0"
lon="-40.000"
alt="0.0000000"
pitch="0.0000000"
bank="0.0000000"
heading="0.0000000"
altitudeIsAgl="TRUE"
imageComplexity="NORMAL">
<LibraryObject
name="{your GUID}"
scale="1.0000000"/>
</SceneryObject>
<ModelData
sourceFile="yourfile.mdl"/>
</FSData>

Change the coordinates, heading if necessary, no altitude is necessary, your GUID from the object information, and your file name from the object information.

Save the file as yourfilename.XML, any name is okay if am not wrong, but the .XML is a must.

Then place the .XML in bglcomp and you will get your BGL file. Done.

Do all in the same folder, better. Let bglcomp remain in its main folder.

Hope this helps, for more information you can have a look at this:

Did it already show up in FS?

Also: There should be a night texture option in the material editor in max.

I heard that it is a problem to show some parts of an airport in the UAE and make this parts public in a photo or and product. So I have to think about this product... These are not really good news but I'm a little bit afraid of this thing

Ps. I heard this fact today at the first time connected with the information that planespotting in Dubai is also illegal.

Greetz

There are several Abu Dhabi freeware sceneries out there and Simbreeze is doing a payware version. Not even to mention FlyTampa Dubai. So I don't believe there will be any problem with UAE scenery.

Almost the same in Thailand. Spotting is not illegal but It is prevented by high opaque fence in some airports.
